Vampires... and a werewolf Acceptance didn’t sit well with ex-Catholic priest Beckett. And being a vampire wasn’t going to come easy. Struggling with his new life he finds himself helping another whose life has been dramatically changed. Jude Mason is suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; but Beckett and the elegant vampire Lane Dearing believe that there is more to it. Much more. Their efforts to understand and help the man are hampered by unfinished business. In the tiny monastery in Greece, where they believed they had ended the killing spree of ruthless and savage vampires, one has survived. They must return to finish what began years previously with the death of the beautiful newly turned vampire, Katerini. In Greece, there is as much to lose as to be won and with the stakes high someone has to pay the price.

Hi,

I’m Jan McDonald, the author of the Mike Travis Paranormal Investigations. I live close to the Welsh borders which have their own mystical quality and provide endless resources in the way of legends and folklore surrounding the paranormal. I love all things paranormal and have loved reading the best, Dennis Wheatley, Stephen King (his early work) Edgar Allan Poe, Bram Stoker, H.P. Lovecraft and all those authors that excel in the creepy or down-right scary.

When I embarked on the Mike Travis series I realised that the field of paranormal investigation is more than we see on the popular TV programmes and above all else I wanted to be accurate and so I trained as a Paranormal Investigator and studied parapsychology. I love researching my books, so this was no chore. I’m also the author of the Father Beckett Vampire Trilogy (Part One: Midnight Wine and Part Two: Lycan ). The research for this series was fun and entailed a journey to Transylvania with The London Vampire group! Going to revisit next year.

I'm impressed. I look forward to reading both of these books again, and hopefully the author will add to the series. I want to know more about Beckett, and the addition of the curiously intriguing Mihai.

The author jumps right into the action, and it is taut, and breathless. I wanted a drink, but I had to be satisfied with a coffee as I read, and finished.

The final chapters are the hardest, and the most thrilling. The addition of Navajo Joseph, a shaman, is a great addition to the story. His ritual of the Blessing Way not only soothes Jude Mason's soul, it brings a breath of fresh air, and closing for the characters.

Please, write more! I am hooked!

I enjoyed this book as much as the first in the series. Looking forward to the next. New characters, more depth, and an easy read.
