On the day he died, Lucas found himself in front of an angel at the mouth of Hell. As a werewolf and a sniper, he had taken his share of lives. Maybe Hell was where he belonged. But the angel gave him the chance to reclaim his soul, by working as an Elite Guard for the new leader of Hell. Protect and serve, just as he had done in life. Lucas isn't there long before he sees the woman that will change everything for him, and the wolf inside him demands that Lucas claim her as his mate. Ryver Styx is the disowned daughter of Lucifer, banished from Hell for her lack of evil, she hadn't been back in centuries, until she had a feeling something was very wrong and came back to give the new leader a piece of her mind. She's not happy, and she's not staying either, regardless if the Guard needs her help or not. All Lucas knows is that he has to find her and bring her back, to help clean up the mess in Hell and to make her his own...
I live in KY with my family. While I hold a "real job" my first love will always be writing. I enjoy lots of different kinds of books, and many different authors. Some of my favorites are, but not limited to, Sandra Hill, Lori Foster, Kelly Armstrong, Stephen King, James Patterson, J.R. Ward and Emma Holly. But I think I would read just about anything with a good plot.
So... this one wasn't as good as I was anticipating.
It was still a decent addition to this series, and I did like the epilogue. The way its leading into the next book. But I think my anticipation for this story was much more than the actual delivery of what was presented here. IMO, this book is the weakest in the series. There were still some interesting things happening here, but it left me underwhelmed with everything else.
Still, based on the other books in this series & the fact you must read them in order, I would recommend this read.
With some mystery lingering from Absolution, book 4 in the Keepers of Hell Series, I was anxious to get my hands on a copy of Reclamation. I was not disappointed, instead I was brought to tears and an overwhelming sense of hope.
There is a serious undertone with the introduction of Lucas and Ryver. Their paths pushing them in opposite directions as the world is in danger due to the manipulation of a Demon determined to bring Hell to Earth. A portal from Hell was just the first step to his plan, but the Keepers of Hell can't defeat him alone. Lucas knows what he needs to do, but Ryver's self doubt puts them all in danger.
Then there is Kaia, another character we met in Absolution, that makes her appearance here. My heart broke while reliving her nightmare that tore her family from her arms. I can't even deal!! And to know that her story is next I feel I need some tissues stocked up and ready!
The combination of Absolution with Reclamation is absolutely amazing and they are my favorite parts to this series so far! If you haven't started reading and you love paranormal, twists, action, humor, and romance all wrapped up together then you need to one click NOW!
** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **
In this installment we get Lucas the werewolves story, he joins the guardians....and helps to contain the breach on hell by helping to get River, who is Satan's daughter to help close it...of course as always there is some romance and a fight to save hell from taking over earth...and I liked it!! This is a fun series, its not super serious...the narrator is good, the main character Ash is snarky... and it is a quick and interesting listen!! I cant wait for the net one!!! :)
In this fifth installment of the Keepers of Hell series, we get to see Lucas' and Ryver's story. Lucas, a wolf shifter and brand new to The Guard, is given his first task of returning Ryver, Lucifer's daughter, to Hell in order to help repair a giant, gaping portal that's allowing all manner of demons loose upon the earth. Recommended to anyone looking for a fast-paced, quick adult PNR read. Five stars!
A must have! Great continuation of a great series. Love all the characters with their unique personalities that adds to the story. Love how it all comes together into a 5 stars book. Highly recommend all of this author's books!
