5 I Want To Be Joel’s Pretty Bird Stars!!!
I cannot even tell you without sounding like a crazy, lovesick teenager how much I’m in love with this series and its creator. I wanted more, and I sure as hell got more. The love journey of Joel and Blaire continues where Shut Out left off. I was so excited to see where these two beautifully addictive characters were going to go. Cee Smith did not let me down!
I’m telling you right now, Joel has my heart. FOR-EVER! He’s not just another dirty talking alpha. He’s sincere and kind with a heart of gold. Blaire? She’s sweet and stubborn, beautiful and smart. Those are Joel’s words right there. And that is one of the many reasons I fell for him. His words melt me into a puddle of lust. Put the two of them together? BOOM. Magic. I genuinely LOVED their playful banter, chemistry and realness. I loved watching their relationship grow from a night of hot and steamy mind blowing sex to that magnetic pull they had toward each other, to the climax of doubt and mistrust, to the sexual tension and longing. Their story was all the things!!! ALL. THE. F*CKING. THINGS!!!
Now. There is one scene in this book. Damn. Just. Damn! I thought I was going to explode....I mean, Jesus. IT. WAS. HOT. I need a Joel. For real. The things he says to Blaire are DIR-TY. Oh are they dirty, but at the same time, the way he says these naughty things are just beautiful and heart melting. Trust me. He really is a sex god and he will leave you satisfied in ways you never imagined were possible. Mmmm hmmm.
Even though this book is on the shorter side, it left me sated and pleasured, with a huge smile on my face and a big old squishy heart. I am sad that their story is complete, but I’m telling you now, because of Cee Smith’s brilliance, these two will stay with me for a long, long time. Of course, I will always want more Joel, but I’m really looking forward to reading more of her work. Thank you book gods for creating this author. Thank you Cee Smith for giving us Joel and Blaire. The Just This Once Series is a forever kind of love story, just like my love is for them. Forever :)

This in every part is getting better and better. So it can not be the end of it? Right? The review are spoilers read only after reading the previous parts.
About the plot: So this part begins where the previous ends. We know already that, after one-night adventure that ended a week in a closure by sandstorms, Joel and Blaire have feelings. He decided, despite the unfavorable circumstances fight for a woman who could be the one. In different ways and not really with permission has finally her where he wanted. In his house.
Joel wants to keep Blaire safe and do not want to mix her more in his problems. He is afraid that it could destroy their chances. So struggling with problems alone, and doing everything that she fell in love with him.
But Blaire is not a woman who sits and listens. Determined to help him, even behind his back, to win the case and see how it comes out for them.
Final thoughts: So we finally got answers and solutions. I have by those 3 parts completely fell in love with Joel. So how could I not enjoy it when we got his POV on this part? It was just what I needed.
We met him better, we can learn more about him, about what hides behind his person, what is his point of view to the whole story. And yes it was perfect. That's all I was missing.
Blair of course give as much as she get. Their common moment are romantic and hot. It was nice to see how their feelings are growing up. And as steaming moments become even more steaming.
I had all intentions to give this time full of 5 stars. But the end solved a bit too quickly. It kinda ran out at the end. I just really would like an some epilogue, maybe?
And that's really the only thing. Because I really like how this story developed from the beginning to the end. It was surprising and intriguing. A great series that was better and better, each book ended up that I wanted more and more. And now also want it. I definitely can not wait to see what the author has for us yet.

After the first book I wasn't really sure if I would read the next two, well clearly I did as here I am after the third one.
Can't make my mind up whether this or the second book win the top spot for me, but who cares. Joel won me over!
He goes from being such a soft hearted teddy bear
"...it wasn't the physical Blaire I was trying to hold down. I wanted to embed my talons so deeply into her heart that to leave me would rip her apart."
to a filthy talking sex god
"You like it when I fuck you raw, don't you Blaire? You like being a dirty little girl with me. "
We just need to change Blaire's name to mine and I'll be even happier.
Where I found the first book was full of sex sex sex, the second improved because there was more drama and I felt a real connection between the pair. This one showed how determined both of them were to help each other.
That gym scene was so smoking that I didn't even care this series lacked more depth.

5 I.DON'T.WANT.THIS.BOOK.TO.END STARS!!!
Finally!!! The third part of the installment but hopefully not the end. Why???because if I can't have Joel for real at least I can read everything about him. I don't want to spoil anything here because just by reading the blurb it says it all. But don't let it fool you. There are still something you need to know.Read it yourself because I really can't express how I felt reading this book. in fact making this review seems so difficult since I want more of it and I really don't want it to end. I'm still on a high with how the story goes.
What I can say is that I really enjoyed reading all these three parts that I wanted to have my own JOEL. Why??? I just love how the author portrayed him as him. The hot alpha male who loves to talk dirty that will make you drenched. As in literally drenched!! It seldom happened to a reader to love reading a book with so much steamy hot scenes and would not complain that the book was overflowing of it. However, this book is different. It might have several graphical scenes but the story is really there. What Cee Smith is trying to tell convey to us readers is not taken for granted. It's got chemistry to the nth level. And the writing??? No complaints...it's flawlessly and amazingly written.
The author really did a great and fantastic job.
I said no spoiler but here's just a glimpse:
"You look so ripe for the taking, like a little piece of fruit ready to be plucked. You like it when I fuck you raw, don't you Blaire. You like being a dirty little girl with me. I'm exactly what you need, Blaire. You were waiting for me. Waiting for a man who would know what to do with this sinful little body . I'm not even close to showing you everything I can do with you. I never had a problem with feeling lonely before you, but those weeks without you were the hardest I've ever had to endure."

Shut Off is the conclusion to this hot little series. Know what’s not shut off? My libido…
This book picks up where Shut Out left off. The court case against Joel is about to come to a head and the plot thickens as more secrets are revealed. Blaire has moved in with Joel after her house has been vandalised and the chemistry between has become to hot to ignore.
Blaire is upset by Joel’s unwillingness to let her help him and goes in search of answers on her own. Amidst all of this Joel is dealing with fear of being found guilty and wondering what Blaire’s reaction would be if he is found guilty. He desperately wants to keep Blaire in his life and does everything in his power to make her fall in love with him and stay.
This last addition to the series is just as hot and fast as the previous two. It had everything; amazing chemistry, delicious angst and sexual tension and some incredibly hot sexy times. All our questions are answered and everything is tied up by the end of the book. I absolutely loved the characters in this book and I have added Cee Smith to my list of favorite authors. I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next!

Blaire and Joel’s story comes to a fantastic conclusion in the final installment of the Just This Once Serial Series. With Blaire pulled from the case and on temporary leave from her firm she isn’t willing to just sit by and let Joel and his attorneys fight these charges. Especially when she knows his ex is not playing fair and nothing seems to add up. But Joel wants her nowhere near this case and the danger. For the first time, he’s with a woman he doesn’t want to let go – but his future is in the balance as the case against him builds.
When I saw a friend reading this, shouting about how much she loved it and then I stalked the author’s page and saw the first cover – I was ready to start this journey. I am so glad I did. Shut Off was not only extremely sexy and suspenseful, it was also very well written and paced. And pacing is so important in serials. This was not simply a novel cut into three parts. This was there distinct installments, each one holding their own story and a piece to a larger story. Books like this is why I can’t stop reading serials, because some just know how to do it. Bravo, Cee Smith!

Joel can't seem to get enough of Blaire and he's not letting her go without a fight! He wants her, but he's not sure she will want him after he goes to court about his ex!

Embora não haja nenhuma novidade em termos de inovação de plot, curti o romance entre Joel e Blaire. Legal a leitura. Porém, achei o final anticlimatico (não q houvesse alguma solução super elaborada já q tudo é mero pano de fundo pra construção da relação deles, só achei meh).

Shut Off by Cee Smith was a great 5 star read.

I really enjoyed the “Just this Once” series. Shut Off starts where Shut Out left off with Joel and Blaire.

It was surprising and intriguing. A great series that got better with each book. Thank you Cee Smith for a great read. I can’t wait to see what is coming next.

Blaire has been suspended from her job at the law firm. Any other person would probably mope around and figure out a way to get their bosses to see what an attribute to the company they are. But not Blaire. She sees this as the perfect opportunity to clear Joel’s name. She has all the time she needs to delve deeper into the files of his case that surprisingly her boss let her take with her.
Joel is falling deeper and deeper in love with Blaire. He’s never felt like this, and in some way it scares the hell out of him. What if he loses his case of domestic violence and loses her forever?
In this, the third part of the Shut In series, we get to see the softer, loving side to Joel. We learn he’s just not the dirty talking man that Blaire first met. He’s fighting two battles- he needs to win this case against him, and he needs Blaire by his side, not just for the remainder of the case, but for the rest of their lives.
Blaire is trying to find a new angle to this case. There has to be one person who not only knows the truth, but would be willing to take the stand and prove that Lara is lying. And the only person that Blaire can think of is Lara’s current boyfriend, Paul. But will he lie to protect Lara, or will the truth finally come out, and allow Joel to live his life as a free man?
What can we say about this book? Each instalment just gets better and better. We honestly cannot wait to see what the next book delivers.

SHUT OFF picks up right where SHUT OUT left off. This series is very good. So Blaire is hiding out with Joel after being suspended from her job and threats from Joel’s ex Lara. Joel does not want her involved in his case but she begins to investigate on her own since she realizes that there is no way the Joel she knows could have done anything to Lara. He is relying on his lawyers being able to save him since there is really no evidence and it is his word against hers.
Again Joel is hot and sexy and is totally sweet and romantic to Blaire. I really loved the story but, it is bit weak. There wasn’t really an a-ha moment with Joel like I was expecting and the way he didn’t want Blair to help him seemed a bit odd. Then how Blaire did her own investigation and performed a miracle at the last seemed a bit far-fetched, but it finally gave us the HEA that I wanted.
At least there wasn’t another cliffhanger! It is the last 9 chapters of the story. I really think this book could be released as a complete series in one book. It really seems like it needs an epilogue to give you a taste of how they end up after the trial, but maybe because that is just that I loved Joel and Blaire so much.

Again Joel is hot and sexy and is totally sweet and romantic to Blaire. I really loved the story but, it is bit weak. There wasn’t really an a-ha moment with Joel like I was expecting and the way he didn’t want Blair to help him seemed a bit odd. Then how Blaire did her own investigation and performed a miracle at the last seemed a bit far-fetched, but it finally gave us the HEA that I wanted.
At least there wasn’t another cliffhanger! It is the last 9 chapters of the story. I really think this book could be released as a complete series in one book. This is the final book in the trilogy in the Just This Once series. We get to find out how Blaire and Joel end up –OMG, I have been riding the edge of crazy on this trilogy and I was stoked on getting to read this ARC. I sat down to my kindle and was immediately immersed into the storyline—the flow was perfect and I was drawn into the journey of Joel and Blaire and where we last left off.
This is such a love story to the ndth degree between the MC. We get to see by the actions between them. Joel is sure one dirty talking alpha male—but the way he does it, is with a sweet edge. I want a guy like him. And Blaire, well, she is a sassy, independent miss who wants to prove that Joel isn’t the person responsible for all that has befallen her guy and he is HER guy. I do not want to give spoilers away but lets say she is on her own right now and working to prove Joel’s innocence. Joel doesn’t want her to do this but Ms. Blaire, she sure isn’t going to let him go down for something he didn’t do.
The twists and turns go right up to the end. I love the ending but I would have liked to see what happens to the characters after the ending, that’s my only little gripe. Other than that, this was one awesome story and I love Cee Smith’s writing. I cannot wait to read what she has coming out next. She is now an automatic buy for me!

Oh, what a perfect ending to a great series! Shut Off was worth the weeks we had to wait for it. It was just awesome and I loved, loved, looooved it!
Well, Blaire and Joel just kept getting better with each book and this one was no exception! They've both changed a lot - Blaire is still her strong, independent self but she's less of the workaholic we first met and more about relaxing and living and Joel is still a fun-loving, playful guy, but he has a serious side too. I just loved them both and I'm going to miss them!
Shut Off has sweet moments, heartache-y ones, HOT times, and a few extremely awesome moments too. It was a fun read with some good old fashioned sleuthing, anticipation, and excitement. 5 WELL-DESERVED STARS!
I just had a back to back to back reading frenzy of Cee Smith's Just This Once Series namely SHUT IN, SHUT OUT , and SHUT OFF.
An ambitious sexy new lawyer and a man who looked like a Greek god at every angle. It was supposed to be just a one night stand for both of them after a drunken night at the bar, but nature forced them to get to know each other deeper... so deep that Blaire realized that she was sleeping with the mysterious defendant of a case she was diligently working at. And at risk was not only were her chances for promotion, but also her heart. All Joel wanted was a chance to be free of the charges against him, because he was afraid to lose true love he finally found in Blaire.
I was literally hooked with this exciting hot read! I loved the characters ! Blaire had spunk and Joel was such a playful but sweet romantic. OMG, the things he did to woo her were swoon-and-gush- worthy. As if it wasn't enough that he was so hot!
I'm so glad I read this series in one sitting! Cee Smith is one who writes super hot romance with finesse, and leaves you stunned at just how talented she is. I'm definitely looking forward to reading all of her books.

I am giving this book 5 stars because I love how the Author ended the series.
Joel and Blaire relationship is heading in a good place. Blaire is finally giving him another chance to try and see where there relationship is going, but just when they think everything is going good Joel ex has to try and come between them. This was the final installment in Cee Smiths Just this Once series, and for me the best of the three books. Each book improved on the previous and ended just the way I imagined it would.
This book didn't disappoint in the hot and steamy sex scenes as I had come to expect from Blair and Joel. This installment showed the more vulnerable and caring side to both characters, and also filled in all the blanks from throughout the series. There was drama, a little suspense, and splattering of heart-warming moments to make this book worth reading.
I enjoyed the authors writing style, she kept it real and didn't overdo it with the possessiveness of the multi-millionaire alpha male, all in all a good end to a nice series.

Welcome to the last book of Cee Smith's trilogy. They both are trying to fight for what they have. Joel is protecting Blaire from the antics of Lara. She wants to save him from the gold-digging woman but will she find sufficient evidence to support her theory? While she is doing her own investigation to see who Lara really is, Joel is back at work trying to assimilate to a normal work life at his father's office. Afraid of losing Blaire to the outcome of the trial. Will they both find the truth in one another??

I want to be Pretty Bird! This was a fun series that I wished could continue! Joel & Blaire have a real connection and he's hiding her from Lara in his father's house. Since he's not doing anything to help himself, she decides to help him without his knowledge because she has fallen for him and she believes he did not commit the act he's accused of. They are newbies at relationships but they make it work. Did she win his heart, does he win in court? Lots of questions are answered in this last book of the series. I could see more books coming from this one withe other characters in play. A great read!

This is the conclusion of Blaire and Joel. Blaire is attempting to help Joel in his lawsuit by finding anything she can to help him win. She doesn't know what is going to happen between them when the lawsuit is over, win or lose. Joel is afraid if he loses, that he will lose Blaire..
Usually I don't read series, as the waiting period between releases. That being said, I am so happy that I have read this series. No extended wait between books and also an awesome read. I enjoyed the storyline and the theme is one that could happen anytime and anyplace. The hot, steamy, sexy parts made the story another reason to read the series.

Shut Off begins were Shut Out left off, in the bedroom. There is no doubt that these two are sexually compatible.
Even-though, Blaire was suspended she continues to search for clues to help Joel's case against Lara. However, Joel does not want her involved since Lara is a loose cannon.
While waiting for the court date Blaire and Joel take advantage of the time together to grow. They learn about each other's families and upbringing. They go on dates and spend time together.

Shut Off was a great conclusion to the Just This Once series. I enjoyed Blaire and Joel’s story a lot and I’m very happy with the ending. This short read is full of suspense and steamy sex scenes just as the previous books, so if you loved them you will definitely love this one. You will want to know how everything plays out for everyone. However, if you haven’t read this series yet and love suspenseful romance reads I’d recommend you giving this series a try. This series must be read in order and be prepared because the previous books end with major cliffhangers.

I feel like these installments got better each time! I was slightly worried as I got closer to the end and the trial still hadn't happened. I wasn't sure how she would fit so much in a small space without it feeling rushed, but she did. Book 3 gives you all the answers and continues to suck you into Blair and Joel's love and the steamy scenes...woowee, still awesome! Though I will miss this story I also feel satisfied, which is rare thing when sucked in so far. Great read!

This book is a part of an amazing series. We are welcomed back to Vegas with are favorite couple Blaire and Joel. We are introduced to Joel's ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend. The court case is getting closer now. Blaire and Joel are both trying to figure out their feelings for each other. The case is looming in both of their minds. What will happen when the case is over? Are they going to stay together or go separate ways? I love reading this book.

OMG I love this Series!!!!!
Joel could not get any more yummy if he tried. Admitting to himself that he wants the one thing that would have made his father proud. Yeah that brought a tear to my eyes.
Blaire has gotten braver and stronger in this series and in this book she hold her own and make you proud.
They even more sexier together and eve more steamier. An amazing conclusion to an amazing series!

I enjoyed this final instalment of Blaire and Joel's story, but not as much as parts 1&2. There is finally resolution to Joel's case (surprise, he didn't do what he was accused of), but it seemed a,little anticlimactic. But I must say the scene in the gym was hot,hot,hot! These two definitely had major chemistry together. This story could have easily been just two parts though.
