A book my 5 yr old as well as my twin 3 yr olds loved. A solid reading level 2 book, this wonderful book of Halloween poems will bring back memories from when you were a kid. Do you remember "The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out?" They're all in there. Even Shakespeare's "Boil, boil, toil and trouble..." Read them in a spooky voice and you have poetry lovers for life in your children. A great family read and A great addition to any children's library.

Only one poem in this collection that I particularly liked, The Tomcat. Still a cute little book.

I remember loving Bobbi Katz poetry books as a kid, so it was fun to find this on Open Library just before Halloween. It was enjoyable to read aloud with appealing illustrations and my toddler, preschooler, and first grader all happily sat and listened to the entire book at once. I also overheard the older two making up their own Halloween rhyming poems inspired by the ones they heard here.

Another of my absolute favorite poetry collections from my childhood. I've been searching for my copy for the last 3 years now, and finally found it. It's a good day. :-)

Great poems to share with younger readers. There are poems appropriate for preschoolers as well as older readers from poets as diverse as Shakespeare, Lillian Moore, and Jack Prelutsky.
