Eternal Echoes: The Sacred Sounds Through the Mystic

Rate this book
This compelling and provocative collection of poetry by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev is both ethereal in its message and earthy in its sensuality. The Master's mystical experiences form the bedrock from which springs forth these divine sounds of bliss, playfulness and the absurdity of Existence. Penetrating photos of Sadhguru represent his poetry in the physical dimension while his rich expression speaks in the spiritual. His verse is but eternal echoes of all THAT which is called life.

With over 162 Million individuals pledging their support, Rally for Rivers is the largest ecological movement in the world to date. In the fall of 2019, Sadhguru launched Cauvery Calling, a uniquely modelled project that focuses on enhancing farmer wealth while simultaneously impacting river flow and riverine ecosystems. It will enable farmers in the Cauvery basin spanning Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, to plant 2.42 billion trees.

In the United States, Isha Foundation is headquartered at the Isha Institute of Inner-sciences in the Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee, Isha Institute is established as infrastructure for raising human consciousness and offers a variety of programs that provide methods for anyone to explore and experience the yogic science in its full depth.

"Over time there shall be
No visceral evidence of
One's earthly venture
The very sod that we
Walk upon are us"

This book is a compilation of Sadhguru's poem from the last 30 years.

The poems are divided into:
Life
Time
Death
Yoga
Guru, and many more parts.

I have heard so many great things about Sadhguru and reading these poems makes it evident why his poems are so well known.

His poems are like stream of consciousness. Deep and meaningful, also philosophical. You can tell that the person who has written those poems has experienced life in all form and notices everything- from minute things to greater things in the universe.

There are also many beautiful illustrations which makes the reading experience even better.

I'm reading few poems every day and honestly these poems calms my mind and I cannot help but marvel at the words. This book is a gem and I think everyone should read this book.

In Ignorance of Lord's abode
found an alternative in mother's womb

The generation to come is only the Bounty
Of the womb and the breast

Sanctity of which man has lost
To make it all a play of lust

One who doesnot revere the space of his creation
Will inevitably lend himself to oblivion

Within and without there is a woman
The glory of life is hidden in celebrating this woman

This book is an anthology of poems by the eminent spiritual guide Sadhguru.

It contains his poems written between from 1994-2021. The poems that he wrote before that unfortunately got burnt away in an unfortunate fire accident at his place.

These poems are divided into Life, Time, Death, Yoga, Guru , Mystical, Bounlessness/ emptiness, Love and Devotion, Toil , Nature , Mountains, Rivers, Shiva, Epic, People and Place, Grace.

Each category has 10-20 poems. So you get plethora of pieces to read and let them soak into your soul and change your perspective. Again it comes with beautiful mandala arts inside. They remind us of the real essence of our lives.

I recommend it to people who like philosophically oriented pieces.

I find the musings more interesting rather than poems itself

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗹𝗲.

Sadhguru shares with us his journey into the boundlessness of poetry and what poetry truly means to him. He shares with us his journey on a farm where in the darkness he spent his time writing poems on everything that he could feel or hear or could see. He defines poetry as something which cannot be bounded by logic but has magic in it. The book contains more than 400 poems and snippets in chapters naming Life, death, yoga, guru, mystical, boundless/emptiness,darkness and light, love and devotion, toil, nature, shiva, people and places and much more.

Some of these poems are very deep and they will shock you with the imagination that Sadhguru has expressed through his poems. There were some poems that I couldn’t understand or perceive it clearly and which needed me to read it again and again until it got clear to me. Some of the poems or snippets which I have loved the most are:

𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚

𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰
𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞.

Eternal Echos by Sadhguru, my second book ever written by Sadhguru till date. This is his collection of verses and poetry.

The book has been divided into different components of timeless complexity of existence like Life, Death, Yoga, Guru, Mystical, Love & Devotion, Nature and much more.

𝐀 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞
𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐮𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐞.
𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞
𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲.

Some of these poems are very intense and have a very deeper meaning. I would say go ahead and definitely buy this book filled with poetries that bring you joy, sorrow, wisdom and also calmness.

I am savouring this beautiful collection by reading a couple of them everyday before I start my day, and trust me so far it's been really great. Definitely worth a read and a must for poetry and readers who love Sadhguru's work.
