The illustrations gave me hope on this story, but I was dissapointed with the contents. It was nice to show how to exercise but it didn't have to be because she was fat. She could've been unheathy without being called fat.
The message should have been snacks in moderation. I found this book was very polarizing. It showed a character getting fat from only eating snacks, fine. I understand we need to include fruits and vegetables. But then he gets so fat that he couldn’t get out the door? What about some of that husk your kids who are active and are still on the heavier side. Or eat right and are still on the heavier side? And then he was able to get out of his door and only a matter of days from exercising. This book is setting unrealistic expectations and examples for children at a very impressionable age. There Hass to be a better way to present this
I thought this was a cute book and other than thinking the author could have used the word heavy instead of fat, I thin this is a book kids will love. The pictures are cute and the author is giving good information that will help kids get healthy and feel better. I loved that the author added a coloring book to download at the end of the book for children and what child wouldn't love the fun dinosaurs in this book. I saw the one star reviews on this book and don't feel the reviewers were being fair to the author. I enjoyed the book.
It felt a little fat phobic… so tops is ‘small and pretty’ when healthy, but what about when he is big? I loved the message because eating healthy is important but it rubbed me a little off with the wording
