She never expected the baddest boy in town to be able to break down her walls. But when her cage is finally unlocked, will she run free or stay trapped in her past?
Hailey has led a sheltered life — beyond sheltered, in fact. A freak accident in her childhood made her parents over-protective and left Hailey mentally scarred for life and woefully naive. The death of her grandfather brings her back to the place where it all began and long-repressed memories begin to surface, igniting a thirst for answers.
Meanwhile, Hailey has to contend with the attentions of the town bad boy, Brock Silvanus, a wannabe thug that’s intent on running the town with intimidation tactics. He’s not as rough with her, though — he could even be called kind in certain instances — but she’s been warned not to lower her guard.
No amount of sexy smirks and rippling abs can make a guy less bad, right?
As Brock attempts to help Hailey unlock the secrets to her past, they grow closer, and Brock’s entire way of life is thrown into question. Should the Alpha stay true to his badass past, or open himself to the mate he thought he’d lost forever?
My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review
The cover is awesome and is a perfect fit!
This is the 2nd book in this novella series! It is for adults only due to the steamy adult scenes and violence.
I wasn’t sure I was going to like this book because I didn’t think much of Brock Silvanus, but I’m happy to say that I understand him more and he has redeemed himself in my eyes. Hailey is a very strong person because I’m not sure I could endure all she did and come out the other side intact. I loved read their story and learning more about what is going on in Sunset Glade.
Sennah Tate does a fabulous job weaving her tale and enthralling you that putting down the story is not an option. Love this series!
I highly recommend this series to all the shifter fans out there because it is a wonderful world and packed with action to keep your attention!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ember turns up the heat with Hailey, a vulnerable yet strong heroine burdened by childhood trauma, and Brock, the bad-boy alpha who defies expectations. Their dynamic is charged with tension and genuine growth, as both face inner demons while exploring a connection neither saw coming. The story beautifully balances the emotional weight of Hailey’s scars with Brock’s rough charm and tender moments. The town’s atmosphere continues to feel rich, and the stakes feel more personal here, making it a gripping and emotionally satisfying read.
HOLY PANTHERS BATMAN!!! What an utterly FANGTASTIC story! I didn't think that any other book in this series would top Spark, but WOW!! Was I ever wrong! But that is a good, no GRRRREAT thing! This was such an engrossing story filled with love, pain, heartache, humor, stubbornness, tenderness, secrets, heartbreak & heartwarming moments and so much more (really! There IS more!) all packed into one alpha of a SHIFTASTIC story! I was completely intrigued by a shared moment from their childhood and how it impacted both of their lives, which is what gave the story its darker tone, but in no way did it lessen my love for it. It actually is one of the reasons I loved this story so much! I was so surprised at some parts, outright shocked at another, but completely CAT-IVATED throughout the entire story! I was a little apprehensive at reading a book where the “bad guy” in book 1 Spark, gets his own story. I prefer to keep my bad guys as bad guys. Well, Sennah ruined that for me! :) Getting to know Brock sure gave me a whole new perspective to his character, his reasons for being the jerk that he is and I will admit it. I actually truly felt for him and really came to admire him and was impressed with the choices he made. And poor Hailey! I cannot imagine being that traumatized at any age, let alone as a child, but then to also have to deal with parents who behaved the way they did?!? No wonder she is mentally scarred for life! I just wanted to wrap Hailey up in a huge warm FURRY hug! Once again, Sennah has wowed me with her tremendous amount of talent!! This is such a PANTHERIFIC tail!!!
Silvanus is on edge. he’s feeling like he’s lost a lot of power since Tucker stood up to him. since the pesky ranger found himself a mate he’s been stronger, luckily not realizing how strong he really could be. still it all unsettled Silvanus. that’s until he came across a beautiful woman at the park, she had his cougar belly up the moment they saw and smelled her. but being against humans (unlike tucker) he battles internally with his desire to be near her. convincing himself he has to stay away and has to find the girl he imprinted on as a young boy. only Gabs is able to help him because she’s the only other one who figured out he was the cougar that saved them when they were young. Gabs is reluctant to tell who her friend is but when she does reveal who she is and that she’s even in town, silvanus is thrown for a loop. his cougar being the smarter one, he already figured out that Hailey was theirs. how will he get back into her good graces having been rather rude to her? how will he come clean about who and what he really is? the local bad boy may have found his match. only his standing up for her makes his pack exile him. will he turn from town bully to the town outcast? will he be able to let hailey see the real him? how will the others react to the big change in silvano? you’ll enjoy this read if you have read the first one!!

Hailey came back to Sunset Glade for her grandfathers funeral, and to run the family diner. Hailey has always been told her memories as a child were mistaken and led to believe she's crazy. The town thug Silvanus and his men always had their run of the town, he wasn't as bad as everyone made him seem. He helped her go to her grandfathers cabin, she was trying to prove to herself she wasn't crazy. Maybe he had something there that proved she was attacked by a Sasquatch as a child and a young Panther that turned into a boy protected her. Silvanus couldn't believe his Panther thought Hailey a human was his mate, they don't mate with humans ever! But he knew deep down it was true he'd known even when he was just a cub and protected her and and her childhood friend Gabrielle. He now believes he's the cause of all her pain and isolation. Hailey had enough, of the town thugs in her diner and kicks them out. Not realizing its Hailey that's causing his men trouble, he tells them to remind her who runs this town. When he gets back to the clubhouse he hears her cry, he doesn't think just shifts and tears into one of his men to protect his mate. He gets her safely home and all she says is you could've told me. He is rejected by her as well as his pack when he tries to return to the clubhouse. Will Hailey forgive him? This is the 2nd book of the Sunset Glade Panther series, I rate this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I'm off to read Blaze to see how this series ends!
Hailey is back in Sunset Glade after her grandfather's death. She and Gabi were besties in school until a terrible attack at Falcon's Lake. Hailey was saved from a deadly Bigfoot attack by a boy that was mauled, turned into a panther and ran off. Her parents took her away and after years of therapy, she's back still trying to prove she's not crazy. She has inherited her grandfather's diner and met an extremely handsome guy that just seems to make her soul happy. However, she is warned against him by everyone in town. He is Brock Silvanus, the mean panther alpha running the town. Brock wants to be different around Hailey and can't understand why he feels this way. He is afraid of losing alpha status after the confrontations with Gabi and Tucker. Knowing that finding a mate will give him the added strength he needs to maintain the status quo, he decides to go with it. Finding his mate has led him to decide what is more important Hailey or being alpha. He wants Hailey in his life so he must change things. Of course he will make mistakes getting there but, he hopes he can make her feel safe and loved enough to give him a chance. Big bad panther alpha searching for more than just power. Can he be redeemed? I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.
We are back in the Everglades but this time it is Silvanus and Hailey's turn. Hailey was friends with Gabi, until she survived an attack by a monster and no one believed her version of events. She was taken away and given therapy until she no longer is even sure herself. She returns back home for a funeral and slips away for some quiet time. Whilst she is there, she meets Silvanus and a connection is made between the two of them. Silvanus has a lot to deal with in this book as he is worried about his alpha status, Tucker and Gabi, and now Hailey too.
This is a short book but full of intensity. This story is continuing to intrigue me, and I am loving it. I can't wait for book 3.
* I received this book from The Hunt Club in return for a fair and honest review. *
Can the town bad boy really be that bad? Hailey had a traumatic event in her past. She is back where it happened due to her grandfather passing away. The longer she stays the more the memories start to come back. She isn't sure she wants to know. Brock Silvanus the town bad boy. Everyone keeps telling her she needs to stay away from him because he is bad for her. Brock isn't sure if he has control of his pack anymore but he is questioning his attraction to Hailey. he knows he met his mate when they were children during an attack. Is Hailey that same girl? The pages heat up as their story progresses. I love it and had a hard time putting it down. A great addition to the trilogy.
I was given this e-book by the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. My conclusions are my own. I was not compensated in any way.
Hailey comes back to Sunset Glade to run her grandfather’s diner. She had a bad experience there when she was young and her parents took her away. While playing one day she was attacked by a bigfoot and a panther fought it off and then changed into a boy. When she tried to tell her family they thought she was crazy. Brock is a man in town that everybody tells her to stay away from because he is trouble. But he is always good to her and she has extremely erotic thoughts around him. He is a panther shifter and is the one who saved her. They are mates but he doesn’t think she will accept him. As their relationship escalates this is a great story. There are lots of things to work through. I recommend this. I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A wonderful shifter romance with suspense, action, and one panther ready to be a better man. Hailey is a brave and determined woman out for answers, and Brock is just the Panther shifter to help her, or is he? Hailey comes back to town for her grandfather's funeral and to find out if she is crazy or if there really are monsters in the swamps. When she meets Brock, at first he seems nice, then not, then nice again, what is a girl to think? When they both realize that they are meant for each other, can they overcome their connected past, or will Brock's men get in the way. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Hailey has returned to town for her grandfather’s funeral. She left town with her family after a tragic accident when she was a child. Now running the family diner, she is on high alert over the local gang who seem to be congregating at the diner.
Brock Silvanus is the Alpha and is used to intimidating all around him. But when he meets Hailey he realises he was involved in her childhood trauma but now he also knows that she is his mate!
Great 2nd book in the series and bad boy redemption story is always great. Wasn't sure I'd take to Brock due to his antics in book 1 but I was soon rooting for him!!!
I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review

This is the second book in the Sunset Glade Panthers series. It continues the theme of strong characters and plot. Brock is the alpha of the panthers and he has a secret. When he was a teen he saved two young human girls (one is his mate) from the skunk-ape. Years later Hailey returns after the death of her grandfather at the hands of the skunk-ape. Will the reason for Hailey's long held fear come out? Will Brock admit she is his mate? Will Brock and Tucker join together to end the skunk-ape? The story continues. I was given this review in exchange for an honest review.
Crazy to others is just not knowing the truth Brock Sivanus may be Alpha but he wants a mate the help him strengthen his place in the pack. But he met his mate when he was a boy and she is long gone. Hailey just came back into town due to her grandfather’s funeral and is now the owner to the diner. But a traumatic event happened when she was a youth that still gives her nightmares and makes her think she just might be crazy. But will finding the truth set her free? Great and fun story to read.
Book two in this series had me smiling and happy even though it did have some sexy and shifter parts in it. Hailey comes back to town to take over her grand father's business after he was killed in book one. Well, in this book it seems we learn more about about Brock Silvanus and his connection to the two girls, Falcon Crest Lake and the skunk-ape. Bad boys can turn good and lost friends can be found.
It is so hard to review without giving away a story line so let me just say...READ THIS SERIES. It is so good and a great new way to tell story. I did receive this book for a review.
This review is from: Ember (Sunset Glade Panthers Book 2) (Kindle Edition) I received this book from The Hunt Club in exchange for an honest review. This the second book of the sunset Glade Panthers Series by Sennah Tate. Ember picks up right just where Spark ended, with the story of Brock Silvanus and Hailey, his mate. Hailey returns to Sunset Glade for her grandfather's funeral and to run his diner. Hailey meets Brock in the park after the funeral. Hailey was attacked when she was young, but can not quite remember. What happen? Read the book to find out.
Hailey was attacked as a child. And she was always told what she remembered of the attack had to be her mind making up things. Everyone always acted like she was crazy. Now she has returned home to where the attack happened. She meets a man, Brock, she is instantly attracted to, but she is told he is no good. Brock knows more about the attack but must make the decision to tell her. Will telling her bring her closer or make her run away?
This story building of the last story but really could be read by itself. It's the love story of Haily and Silvanus and takes place in the everglades. In the last book an old man is killed by a beast in the glades. It was Haily's grandpa. So she is back in town and in Silvanus know's why his cat wants Haily. A few pieces of the puzzle falls into place. What a great mystery paranormal romance. I can't wait to read more.
Book gifted for an honest review and I honestly loved it. ☺
Ember picks up where Spark ends but now we're introduced to Gabi childhood friend Hailey who suffered a traumatic incident in her youth 20 years ago now she back in town for her grandfather's funeral. This was a great book with lots of suspense action and panther shifter looking for redemption a good read looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Really liked this second book in the series. Brock was all hot Alpha male jerk but under it all he is really sweet and loving to Hailey. I liked that Hailey pushes herself to live despite her past trauma and how her parents treated her after. Recommend this book it's the best in the series. Got this book for free for an honest review.
Really enjoyed this story.. right from the start the story captures you and grabs hold until the end..Hayley and Brock has a fire together that gets better has the story continues...Hayley and Brock have a rocky start but when Brock realizes she's his mate, he will do everything he can to make up for his mistakes..I was given an arc in exchange for my honest review
Hailey coming into town was interesting. When Gab's dad fell over then man I knew there would be more too it, nothing like Hailey though. Can't wait to see the outcomes in the next installment.
Lots of mysterious stories around prom. Loved it.
I received this story for free in return for this review, Thank you.
Hailey and Brock are so right for each other. He's drawn to her as much as she is to him, but their pasts might ruin everything. Fast paced and hot. Loved every minute of it. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
