Paintings in this book are absolutely amazing. The paintings are very dream-like, like reading through a magic realist genre novel. Persian painting is neither eastern nor western; it is just Persian. Even Persian architecture and geometric symbols usually nestled on carpets or mosque walls find their own place within these surreal images at times.
