When Great-Uncle Horace brings back lost and homeless animals from his travels around the globe, it falls to Zoe and her mum, the zoo vet, to settle them into their new home. Zoe’s good at this, because she can understand what they say and talk to them, too. But that’s a secret. A little wolf pup has arrived at the zoo, just in time for Halloween. He won’t stop howling, and Zoe doesn’t know if he’s unhappy, or if it’s something more spooky…
The wild wolf pup is an amazing book. I love Zoe's rescue zoo. Zoe can talk to animals!!!!It is about Zoe helping new animals coming to the rescue zoo. Great Uncle Horace brings back animals and Zoe helps them. For example, in the lonely lion cub Zoe puts Rory the cub and Leonardo together as the cub was lonely. However Leonardo is very grumpy and he roars saying go away when someone walks past. Whe Zoe explains about Rory Leonardo is interested and they want to stay together. However, Zoe realizes why Leonardo is so grumpy. He is also lonely. Zoe helps every new arrival and in this one she helps a wolf pup.
Another enjoyable one of the Zoe’s Rescue Zoo series. We liked that this one happened at Halloween, and it prompted another good discussion about how in real life wild animals are cared for and released back into the wild whenever possible (rather than spending the rest of their lives at a zoo).
