In less than the span of a human lifetime, we have explored the Moon and launched robot probes to Mars, Jupiter, and far beyond. Wonderful history of space travel from the earliest days to our current mission to Mars. We learn of all the efforts of scientists, engineers and astronauts to explore space. The politics behind the race to space is presented as well along with the tragedies. The author has included amazing photographs and illustrations.
