Here's the deal - this was my "Twilight" when I was 13. Reading it for the first time as an adult, i am basically giving it two stars for sentimental reasons. It is almost word for word the movie dialogue, which is probably why i read it so much (back in my day, you couldn't buy every movie you want on a whim). Even though it is not well-written, i still cried...oh those middle school feelings never die.

Overall this book was a disappointment. The writing was alright (not amazing, but decent) but if you want to enjoy or experience this story then just watch the movie. Just be warned- the plot is grossly historically inaccurate in regards to the actual relationship between Jane and Guilford. Still, the added Hollywood sparkle makes this a sweet tale that deserves to be appreciated in it's own way.

This was surprisingly better than I expected. I'm usually not fond of movie novelizations, but this one wasn't too bad.

It is an "ok" book. I read it in one day, so it means it is very fluent. Aside this, there are neither flaws nor great merits.

Reading this book helped me understand the movie. Kinda cool story.
