Mac Walters is a writer, director, and producer, known for his work on Jade Empire, the Mass Effect series, and Anthem. He's an author of games, novels and comics including the New York Time's bestselling Mass Effect: Redemption series. He was nominated for a Bafta for his writing on Mass Effect 3.
Mac is known for his intricate, deeply detailed futuristic universes populated by memorable characters who find themselves thrust into extraordinary circumstances.
I think this comic suffers from having too little room to breathe. It's far too short to tell a full narrative of Vega's backstory which is disappointing since I was wanting to learn more about him and his motivations.
*I love the game, so I've been trying to read all the graphic novels so I can get background on the world.*
James is one of my favorite characters from the third game, and there is little information about him other than what he gives, so this was nice! It gave background on his dad who isn't mentioned in game but I got the feeling he was a trash human, and I was right. His father is horrendous. James didn't have an easy life, and he tried doing what he could to make ends meet, but given his situation and his father, it was near impossible. Thanks to his uncle he was able to get himself onto a better path. Honestly, in my opinion, James is underrated, and this made me love him even more.
