Very fast paced. Description of New Mexico landscapes make you feel you are there. Excellent read.

I can't remember where I saw this book recommended, but it is NOT a romance. It was very well-written and I did enjoy the story, but I'd have to categorize it as contemporary suspense/mystery. The barest seeds of a romance are sown within the story, but that's it. Still an enjoyable read, though!

Although I learned a bit about pottery making and bee keeping, the mystery element of this one was a bit thin. It started out the way I like mysteries to start with not much known about the heroine and bits gradually parceled out, but there was too much information seeping in at the edges to make it very surprising at the end.

This a book that resonates with me and one that I reread periodically. I like the characters and the story is fascinating. Using Molly Cates, Mary Willis Walker's character, using Mooly's news stories before each chapter brings the past to light without too much detail and description. A woman returns to New Mexico to claim her inheritance after running from a family tragedy.
