At Cold Devil, Arizona Ranger Sam Burrack and Federal Marshal Pete Summers apprehend two wanted men-one of whom has posted a ten-thousand-dollar bounty on the lawmen's heads. When Sam is dry gulched and Pete is wounded, a pretty young woman and her family nurse the lawmen back to health. Then Sam sets out to recapture his prisoners-and make the town of Cold Devil hotter than hell.
series. Sam always gets his man. But, not without a lot of action and good old mayhem. 3 stars though because of poor punctuation and editing ie keeping names straight
And Ralph, if by some chance you're reading this, a male elk is a BULL not a stag. A stag would be a European type deer. If it was deer and not an elk it would be a buck. Female elk are cows & deer are does. Just a little FYI.
Lots of intrigue. Your drawn down one path and then the adventure breaks into three different paths. Everyone trying to make a buck from the off the backs of the soiled doves. Then there's the bushwackers trying to kill the The Ranger and The U.S. Marshal and then Mother Nature shows how she can change the topography. Gold Gold will make these scalawags lose their minds. The poor Gypsies get a raw deal, the town marshal wouldn't allow them to buy provisions and the granddaughter and her grandfather almost die from exposure and starvation. The Ranger and the U.S. Marshal are caught in earthquake which buried them alive, on top of being buried, they are both wounded by a gang of cutthroats. You'll enjoy every page and chapter. You won't be disappointed...Watch where you walk those dark alleys are full of DANGER
This one was good..also very entertaining and well written. Just not my absolute favorite of the books so far. The women in this one were a little more 'loose' (to use an old word there) and I didn't like reading about that.
As usual Sam gets his man. he almost gets killed along with a Marshall. But in the end they get the men they are after. thank you Ralph Cotton for a great read.
