There are now many YouTube videos demonstrating French gestures and non-word sounds (ba, bof and more). This book, using pictures not video, is therefore dated and perhaps less useful.
Wylie’s discussion of his methodology (including mime school) is interesting. His description and background for the gestures and photos provides insight and a subtle humor that go well beyond most videos.
