Very fine. Serviceable. Brisk, readable, and succinct. Comprehensive treatment of the personalities involved at every negotiating table. Lots of good backstory information which is rarely reported on in other works (even Shirer's); tidbits which were usually eclipsed by the more prominent maneuvers of the day.

Published in 1987, this covers most of the Cold War, including most of President Reagan's presidency.
