This book is perfect for snuggle time. There are, among others, wintertime hugs, mousie hugs, caterpillar hugs, and ladybug hugs. You really can't go wrong with a book about an adorable duckling hugging other little critters and getting hugs in return.

A Hug for You is a sweet book for youngsters. It is told in rhymes and it has beautiful illustrations. The text is simple and there is an illustration to go with each line.

After giving several examples of reasons to give hugs, including for no reason at all, my favorite was at the end:

A hug for you!

There are millions, you’ll see, but the best hug of all…

is the one you give me.

This would be the perfect book to read at bedtime.

This is a sweet rhyming story about hugs - perfect for a parent to read to her child at bedtime. The illustrations are adorable and the narrative is short, lyrical and heartwarming. Our youngest borrowed this book from her elementary school library and we really enjoyed reading this book together.

The text in this book is appropriate for Pre-K and Kindergarten students. I like how this book made me feel. This could be a book to recommend to students who may be experiencing changes in their family.
