God designed the Gospel message to give birth to a community of people called The Church. This group of people, while invisible, is made visible through local churches. EACH PART WORKING PROPERLY is a book about why these local churches matter and how to be a healthy member in one, specifically Community Evangelical Free Church in Harrisburg, PA. Or to say it the way Paul this book celebrates that “when each part is working properly,” God builds his church in love (Ephesians 4:16). And what could be more important than learning about God’s construction project, and even participating in it? [ While this book should be a benefit to all, it has been written with a particular focus on one local church and its denomination, namely, Community Evangelical Free Church in the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA).]

About the author

Benjamin and his wife Brooke have six children. Benjamin enjoys reading, wrestling with his children, dating his wife, eating at Chipotle, and riding his bicycle in the early hours of the morning.

He has written for The Gospel Coalition, Desiring God, and For The Church, and is the author several books, including "Don't Just Send a Resume," "More People to Love," and "Struggle Against Porn" (forthcoming with Rainer Publishing in 2019).

He earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri and a Masters in Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary. He is a teaching pastor at Community Evangelical Free Church in Harrisburg, PA.
