From the largest dealer to him who scores his' charge on the bar-room door, with the sum of all their sales with interest added, he has them at his command, and by a breath converts them into lenders of money. But does he not practise a species of inhumanity of which he should be ashamed in this transformation of the honest dealer into a money-lender - a Shylock?
