Haley Donahue’s husband has been missing in action for more than a year, a year of waiting and pain as she watches other soldiers return home to their families. Determined to build a better life for her toddler Ryan, Haley relocates to Nashville and takes a job as nanny to a little girl learning to live without her mother.
Ethan Richardson knows Haley will be gone in a heartbeat if her Air Force husband returns, and as a man whose daughter has already been abandoned by one woman, that’s not a thought he likes. But his daughter forms an instant bond with her new nanny, whose own grief and feelings of abandonment offer an understanding that his daughter needs, and so he welcomes Haley to his family.
When Ethan begins to form the same bond, not just with Haley but with her son Ryan, visions of becoming a real family compel him to reach out to an old friend. Wanting to help Haley move on with her life and find the closure she needs, Ethan asks his friend at the Pentagon to investigate her husband’s disappearance.
But is Haley ready to know? And are either of them ready for what happens next?
Haley is a married woman with a son & her life is on hold since her husband has been on his 3rd tour of duty & she hasn't heard from him in 2 years. Ethan is a single dad with a daughter, his ex-wife walking out on them over a year ago. When Ethan hired Haley as a live-in nanny, both their lives become easier. When Ethan oversteps & has the government find out Haley's husband has been dead for 2 years she blames him for her heartache. Eventually she realizes he was just trying to help her move on, thanks to his Aunt Jo. The parts I found frustrating were the repetitive thoughts of Ethan & Haley. I also was disappointed with how Kayla was disciplined when she misbehaved. It seemed her actions were always excused by her mother's leaving. Overall I enjoyed the story, only a few typos & references to the truck as a car in the next sentence.
An enjoyable story. I interesting characters. Haley and Ethan came from entirely different family styles. Bailey's mother and father were never there for her and that had carried over into how she reacted to both Dale and Ethan. She was, happy to be surrounded by a,lovng and supportive family. She not only feel in love, with Kayla but her father as,well. Her son also was, drawn to Ethan as,he never knew, his, biological father. It took Ryan getting ill, to make her see that Ethan would always,be there for them. I gave it 5 stars
I enjoyed and liked the book to the core. Why? Because this book has all the elements to be cherished. Be it the attracting front cover or the genre of this story. The tightly woven plot is enough to keep the readers at the edge of their seat. Overall presentation is commendable. Would like to recommend this one. Thank you.
I downloaded this book and read it in a day. I enjoyed reading as the characters worked out their baggage and figured out what was important to each of them. It's the only book I've read in the series but I'll be looking for the others.
I enjoy this book so much that I went back and reread all the Crystal Springs book. All the characters interact with each other and it was fun finding out how every one fitted it the different story lines.
This is the first book that I have read in this series. I really loved it, and it was just the thing for my first week in a new apartment. This quarantine stuff is lonesome. The writing is lovely, read it!
Hailey applies for a Nanny job with a divorced man and his 5 year old daughter. She is a military wife with an 18 month old son, whose husband has been missing for over a year. Ethan is a wonderful father to Kayla, and soon becomes a father figure to her son.
I would of have given this a 5 star rating but I think the book could of been shorter. It just kept going back and forth.I didn't care for the detail sex.
The characters are loving and likable. The writing style is good. A few editing issues. The issues between the 2 of them seemed immature and reactions over the top.
This book was fantastic. I didn't want to put it down. I'm on to book 4 in this series hope its a good as book 3. Happy reading to anyone that my recommendations helps.
A Home for Haley by Mary Jane Morgan Crystal Springs Homecoming Series Book Three Ethan Richardson needed to find a live-in nanny for his five-year-old daughter, Kayla. Someone who would be able to stay so she could have stability. Unlike his selfish ex who left them high and dry—not caring about a hurt little girl.
Haley Donahue loved children and the nanny jobs were perfect for her and her toddler, Ryan. She needed something while she waited for her husband, a pilot in the air force, to come home. Or maybe to keep her mind off the fact that he may never come home.
The Richardsons are a wonderful family and each book in the series you get to know them a bit better. Coming Home was the eldest brother's book, Ethan is the middle brother, and the fourth book is Home at Last, their sister, Ashley's, story. They are romances that have a bit of angst, troubles, and a rough road getting down the aisle to that happily-ever-after. The first book is Long Road Home. **Sexual content http://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com/...
I was given this book for an honest review. I really loved the story line. No one wants to go through what Haley has but I bet everyone wants what she ends up with. Ethan and his daughter Kayla just clicked right off with Haley and her son Ryan. It tugged on my heartstrings to read about Ryan calling Ethan daddy. I would of gave this book a 5 star rating but some names were mixed up in the story telling. I would definitely read more of this series though. Book 3 in the CRYSTAL SPRINGS HOMECOMING can be read as a stand alone
I have read all the books in this series. I enjoyed it but in each there is one scene that I skipped. But not with standing this I found this author to write in a pleasing content.
