Part of the "Zodiac" series, this is the story of a teenage girl born under the sign of Gemini - the characteristics of that sign leading her down twisting paths into a contemporary tale of mystery and horror with a touch of romance.
Jahnna N. Malcolm is the pen name for husband-and-wife team Jahnna Beecham and Malcolm Hillgartner. Together they've written four musicals, two movies, three CD-ROM games, and nearly one hundred books, including the popular series The Jewel Kingdom. They met in the theater and were married on the stage using Marlowe's famous love letter from "The Passionate Shepherd to His Love" as their wedding vows.
This is part of the zodiac series, first one I've read.
Gabrielle is at school and rarely sees her parents.
she has a best friend and her family has "adopted" her at holidays and what not.
The book was spooky with twists and turns and was easy to read.
None of the twists surprised me and the book was just okay.
I will pick up the rest of the series out of curiousity.

Gabrielle is desperate, her behavior erratic. Someone is tormenting her, or is it her imagination? Is she the victim of a split personality? Or is a ghost from the past driving her insane?"
As a Gemini myself, I looked forward to reading this book. I was 9 or 10 when I read this book, more than a decade ago. I can say now it's a slightly campy, predictable light horror book, but back then I liked it for its drama, and sadness Gabrielle experienced. I suppose it is a "stereotype" of a what a Gemini would be, but hey, that's what the series is about!
