Rate this book
DaMarcus Beasley was a skinny kid from Fort Wayne, Indiana, with big dreams. His love for soccer began at the age of five when he and his brother, Jamar, were given a soccer ball by their father, Henry. DaMarcus dreamed of playing soccer in Europe, where soccer players were heroes. The brothers practiced and played together. DaMarcus attended a special high school in Florida where he focused on his soccer game. He received many awards and was an excellent student. The school named an award in his honor to recognize his work both on the soccer field and in the classroom. At the age of 16, he signed a Major League Soccer contract. After playing for Chicago Fire, his dream came true. DaMarcus signed a contract to play on a European soccer (football) team.
