Lyric was raised in a home where the woman caters to her man’s every beck call, with no questions asked. She was brought up to believe that no matter what you stick by him, even if it means that he cheats, or beats you to a bloody pulp.
Lyric falls in love with a man who she thought was her Prince Charming. Ty helped her get through one of the most traumatic events in her life and she feels that she owes him. At the time when he met her she was on the verge of going crazy, lost all hope, and had given up on life. For Lyric, those words were easier said than done...Once I finally started reading, the storyline & content made me want to read more-for I felt Lyric's emotions & pain. Lyric was a good girl caught up in a bad situation. Ty's manipulation & arrogance combined with Lyric's fear of him kept her caged-although she could hold her own against anyone else. The introduction of Lyric's younger years helped provide a foundation of why she was in her present predicament. London was a true friend to have; Blessing was what his name implied & Sarah was just a sick minded individual. I felt Mesha Mesh provided a gripping look at domestic violence, infidelity & the domino traumatic effects that follow. This story, although emotional at times was a very good read I highly recommend!

August 23, 2017This was my first read from this author and this book was off the hook. This book caught my attention from the first page. I really felt sorry for Lyric poor girl went through so stuff in her life and to think Ty her husband was supposed to be her knight in shining armor yea right he just as messed up as they come. I tell you the things this jerk did I would have hurt him for real. I tell you these characters in this book are off the damn hook. The ending was crazy never saw that coming. Gotta get part two so I can see what's going on with Lyric and Ty.

Title fits perfectly
Lyric was the typical battered woman, she hated when her father miss treated her mama but once she was in the same situation she allowed it to be done to her. The book started off kind of slow but was a good read, the story flowed well and kept interest through out the book. Hopefully in book 2, Lyric grows a backbone and leaves Ty

I REALLY FELT LYRIC'S PAIN AND EMOTION I WAS GETTING REALLY TIGHT WITH HER NO GOOD HUSBAND'S DISRESPECT AND MANIPULATION AND SARAH THE THOT GET WHAT IS COMING TO HER FOR MAKAYLA THIS STORY REALLY TOUCHED ME CAUSE THIS REALLY DOES GO ON IN SOCIETY CAN'T WAIT FOR PART 2 HOPE LYRIC AND BLESSING GET TOGETHER AND TY'S BEHIND REAP WHAT HE SOWED!!

I can't get over the stupidity!
I'm at a loss for words on how stupid the main character is, I mean damn, it makes me angry that so many times women are portrayed and so weak and needy. I'm not giving 3 stars because the book wasn't well written I'm giving 3 stars because never in my life have I ever blamed a victim of abuse but I had no sympathy for her, ugh!

Relationships are hard work and sometimes they are not meant for us. Lyric was in a bad one and every time she should have left she didn't . Love kept making her stay as well as being scare. When you hide stuff and don't let anyone know what is going sometime it may be to late. Now she is in trouble for real about something that she did not do. How will she get out of this mess? Will she be able to get out of it? Will Ty keep bring her down or will Blessing be her blessing after all. On to part 2 to see what will happen.

Lyric really needs to get it together. Love will make you stay, when you know you should leave. How many beatings and STD's is it going to take for you leave? I hate to use the term stupid, but in this case, she is definitely the true definition of it. What is it that Ty has going on that would make her continue to put up with his mess? It couldn't be me. I would probably end up strangling him in his sleep. #UIP

I am a very compassionate person but reading this really pissed me off. Many victims stay in abusive relationships because they don't have the money, the support, or the resources to leave. Lyric had all of these and she still stayed. I love Mesha books , but Lyric was made too weak and I definitely couldn't feel anything for her. Loved Blessing and London. Ty and Sarah deserve each other. Karma please come.

Dumbfounded
I know good d**k can make you stupid but this is ridiculous. I don't understand why would you stay with husband that beats you and keeping you STD's. On top of that you had money and you could leave him! I'm just saying I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE MINDSET!
It was a good book I just wish Lyric will get her act together and leave Ty crazy a** alone.

Lyric and Blessing
Lyric deserved way more then she received from Ty no good ass. Blessing been in love with Lyric but she was holding on to the past too long. Sarah was a hot mess that's miserable. I love how London stayed down from her childhood friend. Deserve more than 5 stars and I'm on to the 2nd book.

A woman who has endured domestic violence I cannot imagine why this young lady cannot catch a break or allow himself to continue to be in the situation when she had several opportunities just leave she didn't I'm hoping that the next two books she is able to be set free

Lyric was to dumb for me. I felt sorry about her situation but then again I didn't because she had the money and friends to get out but she didn't take up their offer. How did the police not get the evidence tested?

Loved it!
This was a hard read 😣 not because of the storyline but because of her situation. I was waiting on her to snap and really get the revenge she deserved. I loved her growth throughout the entire story though, looking forward to part 2.

It took me a minute to get through this book and I guess it is because I couldn't hold my tears back. I hate seeing a woman get abuse and this book broke my heart each time Lyric was hit or raped by her husband. Other than making me cry it was a good book.

When enough is enough
Right when you think you done be through it all and nothing worse can happen....Prince charming turns in to Lucifer. My heart went out to Lyric because at such a young age she has been dealing with love issues from how her parent to now in her own relationship. I wonder if her parents tragedy would have ended differently would she not be where she is today. Ty was just ridiculous I would of thought he was on drugs but I guess having his way with women was his drug. No matter what he did to them it seemed as if they wanted him more......Sarah was determined to get everyone out of her way even wifey so that she could have Ty all to her self but unbeknownst to her she would never be with him because he didn't love her. It looks as if the only woman to have his heart is is hife Lyric but why destroy someone you love I guess he just didn't know how to love Lyric the way she needed to be loved. I cannot wait till book 2 I know Sarah was going to set her up to take the fall for Makayla's Murder. She has been through so much im just hopping that Blessing will be her blessing

Blessing and Lyrical have been through so much to be together.. Dealing with her delusional husband and his psycho chick Sarah who would do anything to have him even though he uses and abuses her.. Th is the devil in the flesh.. How can you claim to love me but hurt me at every turn.. London and Luck are just being loyal to the ones the love and are unintentionally caught up in a mess.. Part III I am waiting on you because the was a page turner..
