They are actually three series that do indeed join to form an extraordinary cycle since they express the most fundamental aspects of human the relationship between lovers, birth and the pair of mother and child, the blossoming and fading of life itself. In a formal manner the works belong to Frutiger's most beautiful free works. As in all of his works, Adrian Frutiger created the life cycle freehand, so to speak, working solely with paper and scissors.
