Had no clue this was for preteens. I figured something would be relatable so I read some of it as I was putting my toddler to sleep. Don't bother trying if your over 16.
This book has basic common knowledge well at least for me. There was some small things that i did learn from this book but it wasn't until the end. I highly recommend a different book if purchasing.
An awesome little book that has a short mantra and a one-page reading on a ton of different topics, ranging from self-love to mental health to friendships and relationships to setting goals and looking toward the future. I think middle schoolers and up will get the most out of this book and even adults could have much to gain and could benefit from repeating some of these mantras aloud. I know I wrote a couple down! Love the format of the book, just the format alone is calming and the blue and yellow colors used for the text and background graphics are comforting and inspiring.
Cute book! I've been taught this form of meditation, using mantras to help with accepting things, but this book has a lot of ones for specific things which I find helpful! If my problem is something I can find in the book, it makes it much easier than trying to come up with something to say on the spot. I'll definitely be looking into buying a copy of this to have on my bedside table.
I hadn’t realized that this was a book for teenagers, so some of the sections were not very relatable. I still enjoyed some of the ideas discussed though!
