Torrential rain spikes. A scream pierces the dark night.

Greye Fields has immersed herself in her literary work, with no desire to chase the inevitable sting of rejection she knows too well. She won’t allow herself the time or the desire to pursue love.

Until she meets him.

Connor Donovan is perfectly content with his bachelor status. Life is good, teaching middle school English, and being the favorite uncle. He wants for nothing.

Until he meets her.

Shattered glass. A wash of blood.

Is it a nightmare or a memory?

Can Connor and Greye overcome the obstacles to the love of all time, or is tragedy doomed to be repeated?

What if love found the right people in the wrong time?

Greye Fields is content with the life she's made for herself. For her it's one thing to fantasize about the perfect man, but another to come face to face with him. She knows it's easier to run away than take a chance at almost certain rejection.

Connor Donovan is a happy bachelor. He gets to be the cool uncle, and loves his family, though differing opinions have strained those bonds. Is the perfect woman out there? Does he dare expose her to his inner shame?

Connor and Greye can't begin to know that fate, both human and other-worldly has a wild, and admittedly dark journey in store for them to find the love of all time.

Lavender Fields is sexy, funny and raw with some uncomfortable truths and real consequences.

It is safe to say I am not a reader of romantic fiction. It’s not that I don’t mind romance as a subplot in a Western or a Mystery or a Women’s Fiction. I just don’t necessarily gravitate towards that genre. That said, this book amazed me. The characters have stuck with me and I loved the honest look at racism in our culture. Reagan Perry did a wonderful job of linking two people together so thoroughly in a believable manner that you knew there was something shared by them in the past. A couple of great surprises throughout this novel kept me reading. Thoroughly enjoyable.

A beautiful story, a romance novel set in Boston talking about love at first sight, being different and fighting against racism.
Greye and Connor had found the road to love and happiness and nothing would destroy their future. But there were some people who had never come across true love and they would do everything to destroy their relationship…
I liked the way the author combined two stories to make one, and I am sure readers will not forget Lacey and her adventure… I look forward to reading the second book of the series.

I am not often taken by surprise by a book. This one did: plot twists, characterizations, and my own preconceptions. A great first novel. Can't wait for the sequels.
