The cover is beautiful like all of the sets that belong to this group of series! I always love when you have both the man and his beast on the cover!
This is the first book in this series, and it is a novella. It is definitely for adults only due to the content.
Wow, this was just amazing! I didn’t expect just an action-packed and complex adventure! This could have totally been beefed up and turned into a full novel, and I totally wish it was because I didn’t want it to end! This is my first time reading Maeve Morrick, and I will definitely be reading more and keeping my eye out for when she publishes new books! She grabbed my attention from the start and I couldn’t put the book down.
I love Alanna because she is fierce and won’t take crap from anyone including a polar bear. She has a spirit that I love to see in my alpha females. I don’t want to give anything away, so I’m not going to say any more! I can’t wait to see what happens next!
I highly recommend to all my bear lovin’ friends!

The first part of a trilogy of novellas. A major discovery in the Arctic ice leads scientist Alanna back to her ex, Oliver (also a scientist), and possibly her new man, lead researcher and alpha polar bear shifter Liam? The book crosses the lines into erotica, as the heroine has sex with more than just the male lead. In fact, for a little while, I wasn’t sure who the happily ever after was supposed to actually be with. But the bloody violent cliffhanger ending is pretty fun.

POLAR BEAR SHIFTERS!! Yes you read that right! Polar Bear Shifters! Need I say more? Humpf I guess for the sake of the review I need to, but really POLAR BEAR SHIFTERS!! HOLY FRACK! Now THIS is a raw, gritty, intense and oh so BEARY FANGTASTIC story and serial/series!! There is so BEARY much going on in here that it's hard to separate them or to 'label' them but I'll try to give you an idea of what to expect without giving anything away. There's humor, sarcasm, friends, hot shifters - polar bear shifters - hot sex, lots of my kind of language, shocking discoveries, betrayal all entwined PAWFECTLY together to create this darker, raw storyline. Adding to the depth of the story is the history between Alanna & Oliver, as well of the history behind the discovery that brought Alanna to Arctic Station in the first place. I love Maeve's writing style and found myself pulled in as deep into the story as possible with her strong characters, the topic of discussion & discovery, as well as the creativity of it all! But I was ABSO-FURRY-LUTELY blown away by Maeve's shifters! So BEARY many different characteristics, traits, abilities, the history, how they shift, when they shift...just every little piece of it is wholly unique, utterly ingenious and BEARY, BEARY PAWESOME!! I have read a LOT of shifters books – literally hundreds of them - so trust me when I say that I have NEVER read a shifter book like this, with this calibre of writing, a FANGERRIFIC storyline and the creativity of it as a whole. This may be my first book of Maeve's but it is most definitely not the last!! With Maeve’s tremendous amount of talent and my FURAVORITE paranormals, I can definitely see myself reading her books over & over again FUREVER!

Allie is one of the few shifter researchers. When she gets a call from her shifter ex, he dangles the opportunity of in depth research on a 100000yr old shifter they have unearthed from the ice!! Ollie is just one of the burly polar bear shifters at the ice station. They still have hot passion between them but Allie just feels that their encounters are wrong after meeting with Liam.
LIam is an alpha shifter and recognises Allie as his mate.
Calder is the shifter they have recovered and he reads at an incredible rate, has learned several languages in days and seems incredibly intelligent. But he has someone one the team acting as a mole and has plans to rid the world of humans and create a new breed of tougher, more resilient shifters!!!
Will they discover the traitor and survive the deadly plan?
Compact and perfectly formed action/ thriller with paranormal elements. I loved all these rough and tumble bears and Calder is my new favourite baddie to hate!!!

This was given to me free in a bundle of six in exchange for an honest review. First off, it was a very unique concept about polar bear Shifters who are doing work in the arctic. They find a frozen saber tooth shifter who is a prodigy and wants to take over the world with genetically better Shifters, only the others don't know that yet. The leading woman in the story is there with her ex, Ollie. However, Liam, another alpha, senses her as his mate. The thing is her ex turns evil, even after she sleeps with him (which I find somewhat degrading). She does eventually mate with Liam, but I personally wasn't feeling that, because she slept with her ex also. The pace was great, and the world building was enthralling. I just know that I would have liked it so much better if Ollie wasn't there with them. I can't complain about the action either, which was compelling, and I would definitely recommend it to others. :)

A read I could not put down and didn't want to end. Full of sexy and steamy scenes as well as action and suspense. It will hold your attention straight through to the end. Alanna gets a phone call from her ex-boyfriend Oliver about a find in the arctic and she sets off immediately. Oliver and the others on the arctic base are bear shifters. She is human and falls for Liam rather quickly after have a one night stand with Oliver again. In comes the great find - a saber tooth tiger shifter named Calder. He has issues and everyone has to deal with them. This is book one of a trilogy and its one of those books that you want to read all three at once.

Ollie was an ex boyfriend (a shifter and scientists) he calls her up one night telling her she is needed and they found a virus in the ice that could be the progenitor of the therianthrope virus. She is all in and goes to this giant floating research base.
The virus they found was in the shifter body once they defrosted him he was alive.
This has got to be one of the best storyline I have read in a while. I loved the idea so cool. I can't wait to read the next book. Wow what an ending.

Alanna is a doctor of Therian ( Shifter ) Research. She goes to join a group in the Arctic.When she gets there she finds out they discovered a man buried in the ice for a hundred thousand years. When he is thawed out he is alive. They discover he is a shifter.The team are shifters as well.Liam is a polar bear shifter and is Alanna’s fated mate. They have so many issues to deal with. This story is packed with action and intrigue.Alanna and Liam are terrific characters with lots of passion. This story is interesting from beginning to end. This is the first book in a three book series and it is really good, I like when we get a different take on shifters and we get it here. Dr. Alanna MacCready gets a call from an old boyfriend she really would rather not hear from again. BUT he knows just the right thing to say to get her to come to him. He dangles a never before discovered shifter discovery but she has to go to the coldest place on Earth to work on it. When she gets there she is met by a bunch of polar bear shifters and the fun and not so much fun begins. This is a great start for a new series, I was gifted this book for an honest review and i loved it!

Going into Snowbound By Maeve Morrick I did not know it was a cliffhanger having said that I can't wait till the next installment. The characters are great and well thought out. From the very beginning you feel like you know them. The story of the Artic Station Bears is so well written you can see the scenes in your imagination. Maeve did a great job of making the story seem believable. The idea of a frozen Saber Tooth shifter brought back to life is wonderful and refreshing. Everyone will be anxiously waiting to see what Calder is going to do and how the bears will adjust to a prehistoric predator.

Having never read any of the books by Maeve Morrick, I can honestly say i greatly enjoyed her story. This is the first story in her Arctic Station Bears series. This story grabbed me from the the start and hasn't let go. Now I am waiting with baited breath for the next book. This story contains a very different twist on shifting. Calder is a sabertooth tiger found in the ice, and is not what he appears to be. Will Alanna, Liam and the crew of the station survive? The story continues with Snowman.

Fast paced and exciting with great characters! Alanna is in the Arctic to research the origin of shifters, she has been called there by her ex lover Ollie, and he is the same arrogant bear shifter that he was before. But when she meets Alpha shifter Liam her whole world may change. Mysteries abound in this story, with undercurrents of romance and lots of intrigue. Will anyone make it out alive? Alanna still hasn't gotten over Ollie. And then out of the blue he calls her. He has made a huge discovery in the Arctic that is everything that she is studying. She rushes to the Arctic to find out what the discovery is. Ollie and all the men up there are bear shifters and Alanna knows it. She is drawn to the leader Liam but she stills has misplaced feelings for Ollie. Can she figure out her heart and this new discovery?

In this novella, we have polar bears. Alpha Polar Bears, including a possible Fated Mate. What's a girl to do? You will find out in this hot and raunchy story, which also includes a psychotic neanderthal! Twisted and intriguing, this novella is sure to keep you warm. Definitely recommended.

Leans toward horror with group trapped in arctic scientific base. Paranormal/shifter twist to the story, though. Not bad but, personally, I'm not a horror fan. I also am not a fan of hooking up w/ an ex because he's hot and convenient. Not a lot of detail as to why relationship failed and what was so bad about him. Won't pursue series just because of the horror movie feel, which again, is personal preference.

Loved it!!! It's a quick read and couldn't wait to get to the next book in the series. Sometimes I don't have enough time to finish longer stories so this type of book is ideal for me. Especially when it's has a good story line. Instead of stressing about things, I can think about where the author's going to take this story. Since I finished the three part series I can honestly say I had a blast rooting for the good guys. I highly recommend this book!

I love strong alpha males and a strong female counterpart.. The chemistry between Alanna , Liam is hot and the sex even hotter... This story get your attention right from the beginning and leaves you wanting more..
