I first saw an advertisement for this magazine at the subway station on a big poster. Since then, I’ve been following the buzz for months on Twitter, Facebook and blogs. Was really excited to hear that there would be a new horror magazine that featured monsters, creatures of the night, and, oh my God, lots and lots of zombies.

Devolution Z Magazine put together a tight group of stories that really had me going (yes, I had to turn all the lights on a couple of times…lol).

A few of my favorite stories were “The Bog Demon Triumphant” by Michael Housel, “The Four and Twenty” by David Turnbull and a serial called "Z Journal of Ivy Gage” by Alarick Vaughan. I haven’t seen a serial in a magazine for a long time and I’m looking forward to the next issue.

They did a great job editing, which is surprising considering the condition of most magazines today. I had assumed that the magazine would focus on zombies, but it was actually a nice mix of many different types of horror and suspense. Really gets your heart pumping!

The magazine is monthly and features 13 stories and poems, which is more than most others, giving you more bang for your buck.

I would definitely recommend it, if you love horror like I do.
