What happens when fate calls your name? Especially, if that fate includes a strikingly handsome stranger, who just happens to be a...vampire.
Patrick never thought he'd meet his soul mate when he'd agreed to go out to a club with his friend. It was a tired scene, and no one seemed worth his attention. That is, until he tried to leave, but found himself unable to move once he saw the gorgeous stranger approach him. He wasn't even gay. What was happening to him?
Justin hated the club scene too. Yet, that night, he felt compelled to go there, and once he saw Patrick, he couldn't leave his side. Perhaps it was going to be a one-night stand. But the night of passion turned into so much more, and Justin was faced with the reality of his unusual heritage...
As the two young lovers discover the fruits of their union, will their burgeoning feeling help them withstand all the unexpected obstacles? Are they prepared for the future, now that the two of them will soon become three?
Growing up, Wolf believed there was a ghost in his attic. To this day, he still believes that ghost creeps out of the shadows from time to time. He wishes it would say hello.
Wolf's stories explore the complicated, sensual bonds between men. There are always happy endings just as there is always a dash of otherworldly delight.
I think the author had a plan for this book and along the way lost inspiration and wrote a bunch of mess 😩. That ending too is just...yeh what a waste of my fucking time.
I don't know about vampire mpreg...it just seems weird when it's not a shifter to me (i know, the whole idea of Mpreg alone should be weird enough but...)
I also wish there had been more story of them being mates and less jumping forward in the story.
No real backstory, no character building, just rather mundane sex and a really thin storyline. What happened when Justin was younger? Why was his family being jerks? And really, vegan vampires? This feels like a story-idea that never actually got written. I’m sorry but I didn’t like it. I gave it two stars, instead of one, only because I actually read the whole story, hoping it would get better. It have potential to be a really nice story, but it isn’t.
This was an erotic vampire romance that was definitely different from what I usually read about vampires. Patrick and Justin meet at a club and soon Patrick becomes pregnant. The story is related through Patrick's perspective. I did enjoy the story line and the ending was sweet, even though it did end a bit abruptly. Overall, it was imaginatively written.
I received this book for a honest review. This book has so much creativity in it that you will be just blown away. To be honest I normally stay way from M/M and Vampire books unless I know the author does amazing work. So when Desirae Grove had this available I did not think twice. I knew it would be awesome like everything else she writes.
Reading the synopsis I was trying to figure out if the reader can figure out the twist the author put on the book. I came up with no due to it is so out of the norm. So I am not going to mention the twist due to the fact I want you to be knocked off your seats like I was..LOL
Patrick who has always looked at himself as straight never dreamed he would end up with a male lover. When he saw Justin Marchand he was blown away. He knew right off Justin was a vampire. Patrick desired him deeply. He could of never prepared him for the future events that was getting ready to take place.
Justin had finally found his true mate. He was so in love with Patrick. Patrick was everything he could of hoped for and more. The one thing he was not expecting is everything that happen between them. He is given a rare and special gift that he must embrace with open arms.
This is truly a very interesting book and one I enjoyed.
3.8 Stars Ok, , let me start by saying I did like this book, but for me the whole male pregnancy thing is a bit much ! The description of the pregnancy and the overwhelming hormones is spot on and rather amusing seeing it from a mans perspective and if I'm honest I did get a twisted pleasure out of seeing a man experiencing what women have been going through for centuries. Leaving aside that rather unbelievable storyline (yes I know how that sounds considering this is a book about a Vampire) and the fact that the story just 'ends' ! (It felt like there should have been more) it is in fact a rather hot and tender love story. All in all it is an enjoyable read. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I could not put this book down. I bought thinking it was (straight) but I found soon very differently. Their love story. I loved the it and the way she wrote it. The story was based form the same loves point of view the whole time, never stitching. I admit to thinking I would not like it because of my views, but i have to concede I was wrong. Even though this book did not turn me it defiantly opened my eyes and humanized the other side to me.
An ARC was given to me for an honest review. This was a quick entertaining read about male pregnancy. It is a well written story that was interesting and kind of funny in how the child was conceived and delivered. With the way the delivery could have turned out, it ended on a high note, an HEA.
Not sure if I really liked this that much. It wasn't as bad as the last one I read, but it still left me a bit disappointed. At first the story seemed to drag and then the end was a bit unfulfilling. I kept waiting for a bit more conflict and excitement that never really came.
I didn't finish this one but didn't rate because I went into it not liking vampires very much. This really felt tedious to me and like a gay fanfic of Twilight.
I really enjoy reading Wolf's paranormal romance's. This one does not disappoint. I do wish there would have been more at the end I feel like the story just ends. It does have a HEA.
The characters were well written. There was a twist but well written. The sexual scenes were not overly done. I'm looking forward to reading from this author again.
I loved this book the cover was a bit.... misleading the vampire on the cover looks nothing like he protracted Justin to be and he looks a little sick and twisted well you have Patrick who is unsure but loves Justin you have Justin who is sure at times commanding at times but then vulnerable the one thing I hated about this book was the way it ended I loved the hot sex scenes and how they didn't take away from the story like some m/m stories do and they back and forth they have but I just hated how they ended the book so abruptly they could have done so much more for the end but no........ anyway it was a good read lol enjoy
