Phoenix Altman has a questionable taste in men: case in point, Baxter Loitte, who decided to kidnap her after she broke up with him. But Phoenix Altman also has a best friend: April Carter. After reaching out to her, Randy Sattely sends three men to get her back and catch Baxter, but he manages to escape. Rylan Campbell helps get Phoenix to safety, but Baxter escapes; the plan? Pose as a couple so that Baxter will snap, make a move and get caught. The hitch? The attraction between Phoenix and Rylan is undeniable - but walls are built and too much can be lost if they give in to their desires.
Warning: There are explicit romantic scenes. For mature audiences (+18).
So here is book two of ten in the Sattely Security series and it is a great read. I love that the author can write such a complete event with these characters and give you so much story in not a lot of words. This makes these books so easy to pick up and enjoy. This particular story is about April's friend Phoenix and her (what we learn to be) crappy boyfriend. She breaks up with her crappy boyfriend and he decides to kidnap her. Really, like that is going to make her come back! Not to worry Phoenix contacts April who contacts Sattely Security and we have those bunch of hotties on the case. This brings Rylan into the picture to pose Phoenix's fake boyfriend to draw out Baxter so that he can be caught. Well, we all now that "fake" boyfriend/relationships can lead to much more. This story is no exception.

This book is second in a ten book series about the Sattely Security Agency. It is about Phoenix, a woman with a terrible boyfriend named Baxter who kidnaps her when she tries to break up with him. She is a designer for an ad agency. Rylan is the Sattely agent who is assigned to protect her while pretending he is her new boyfriend. In this way, they hope the controlling, jealous Baxter will be lured to attack Phoenix again, but get captured instead. There is a great sex scene as Phoenix and Rylan realize how attracted they are to one another. And there is a great car chase scene with Baxter trying to kidnap Phoenix again. So can Rylan catch Baxter, therefore keeping Phoenix safe, and have an HEA with her? Great romantic suspense.

Phoenix is being stalked by her possessive ex boyfriend, Baxter. After being clumsily kidnapped and tied up, Phoenix humors Baxter and tries to have him release her. She’s rescued, but Baxter escapes. Rylan is assigned to guard and protect her and that begins their mutual attraction and relationship. The story concentrated on Phoenix’s relationship with her four sisters, all named after the place they were born, which was kind of a cute premise. Rylan’s “family” is the security company he works for and they pretty much act like a brotherhood of sorts. A bit of drama with the cray cray ex boyfriend, and Rylan has a chance to show offs his alpha protective mode with Phoenix.

Boys and their toys but the life with those toys...
This is an explosive book that you can't seem to put down. You get lost in the characters and look forward to more. The trials and tribulations that people go through in life can either break us or make us stronger. We learn from what we do and can either grow from it or have it hold us back. Not everyone's lives are full of roses and sunshine and making the best of what we can do with the choices we make, seems to make all the difference. I look forward to reading more of the series. This is the second book to the series and has Phoenix being protected by Rylan , keeping her safe from her jealous ex. They start as a fake relationship but the chemistry is too hot and the sex is off the charts. It's another action packed , steamy story filled with danger and suspense. I enjoyed and am looking forward to more from this author.

Phoenix and Rylan story. The book is slightly connected to the first as the guys working for the same security company. The Phoenix is April girlfriend. The storyline is quite cute. She has a problems with crazy ex-boyfriend and Rylan is to the rescue. Chemistry is hot and they are definitely fitting together with every aspect.

Loved the insta love type of thing, how Pho is so outgoing, strong and keeps a level head throughout her situations, can’t help but instantly like their character. I like how Savy & Tyler, man that was funny. Was a great HEA ending, I’m recommending this book.

I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. I really enjoyed the storyline but felt it was a bit too short and that the drama was built up too much and resolved far too quickly. Would still recommend though!
I am so excited to read this book. It is a great story and quite entertaining and engaging there are totally unexpected scenes, twist and turns with realistic details.
