I thought Autumn Carpenter's "Cookie Decorating: Easy-to-follow recipes and decorating tips for sweet cookie creations" was a super cute and useful book for children. The frosting pen, heart cookie cutter, gift labels and templates will all come in really useful and the recipes look fun and easy to use. The provided examples are well-illustrated, detailed, and look like they should be easy to follow.

The only improvement I would suggest is changing the binding from spiral to a ring-binder type; that way children can add more recipes for frostings, cutout cookies, spritz cookies, etc. When the decorating kit is removed from the book, it kind of collapses, except for the spiral binding and leaves a lot of empty space. Other than that, I would give this book 4.6 stars.

This is a gorgeous book and I was so excited to win it as a Goodreads Giveaway! The photos are great and the cookies just beautiful. My daughter and I had so much fun decorating together. The book is great for kids but with A LOT of adult help (some of the decorating steps are quite intricate). Would make a great gift too!
