What an adorable little board book! This captures all the wonderful things about fall and is written simply enough for your little ones to enjoy.

Ages: 2 - 5

Cleanliness: nothing to note.

Summary:
This book takes readers through all the different aspects of fall. It introduces students to the season through characters in which explore things such as apple picking, cruching and kicking leaves in the park, and even pumpkins. This is an informative book that accurately displays the season of fall to young readers.

Evaluation:
I liked "Fall (Seasons)" because it is a great book to teach young learners and readers about the season of fall. The book has words and corresponding images to help students hear and see the different aspects of fall. I would recommend this book to readers at the kindergarten or first grade level.

Teaching idea:
For a teaching idea, this book can be used to teach students about the season of fall. This would be an activity for kindergarten. The teacher would have the students sit on the carpet up close to the book so that they could see all the pictures. The teacher would read the book aloud to the students two times through. Then, the students would return to their seats and receive a blank sheet of paper. They will title the paper, "fall". Then, the students will look back through the book and find different things that represent fall (such as leaves, apples, etc.). The students will draw and color different fall things onto their sheets of paper.

I thought this book was appropriate for the upcoming/current season. The book was really sensory oriented by saying thing like "warm pies on a col afternoon" or "apples, pears, and pumpkins to fill my hungry tummy." I just thought it was a cute book for the season, and I liked the detailing in it.

I think this is a great book to read to kids if you are talking about the seasons. I loved the artwork and all the fun activities the kids in the book did.

This is a cute seasonal book with sweet illustrations and a nice variety of fall things: leaves, fleece, acorns, blackberries, mud, pies, apples, pears, pumpkins, fall colors. I guess the last page brings the book full circle from waking up in the morning, but last page, "dreaming of precious things," felt like the author was unsure of how to end the book, so defaulted to the classic "time to sleep."

I like how it reads as a pretty simple book about the season, but there are many details in the writing and the pictures. I can see my kids noticing details and asking questions. For example, there is a page about being careful picking blackberries, that I can expect a kid to ask more about.

Smiling youngsters greet cooler temperatures and leaves whose colors are changing in this bilingual board book. It's clear that fall's abundance is pleasing to these youngsters as they enjoy some of the foods that are being harvested. The fact that the book is small enough for little hands while also including the text in English and Spanish makes it a good introduction to one of the four seasons, my particular favorite. This is part of a series devoted to the four seasons of the year. While there isn't much science here, the book still provides hints about what the season has to offer.

Both children enjoyed the book. My four year old is just really beginning to grasp what the seasons mean. She was excited to point out the things that she has noticed or done herself, like collect acorns. They wanted to read it several times.

Pros: Calming pictures introduce kids to autumn. See ideas for ways to use this book in the
