I am so glad I read this book to help me understand my son’s epilepsy diagnosis. We are in the beginning of this horrific journey, and this book really helped me to understand what epilepsy is, all the different types, the variety of meds (and the importance of looking for side effects, and how to parent my kid who has tonic clonic seizures. It was very eye opening and I read it in two days, as I’m at the point where learning helps me to tamper down the massive anxiety I now have. This book was very well done and just what I needed.
This book is a great resource. I’m several months into my son’s diagnosis, so I had already learned quite a bit from other sources, but I still feel more knowledgeable and prepared after reading this. I expect that I’ll reference back to certain sections as he gets older as well. I highly recommend for any parent of a child with epilepsy.
