Samantha's vowed to hate him, but it's more than anger heating the competition between them.
With sparks flying across the conference table and sizzling in every touch, Dean proposes a weekend liaison. Anything to have Sam again-anything to get her out of his system. Risky Surrender

Charlize Beckett is in deeeep trouble. This is her one chance to prove to her publisher dad that she's a serious journalist, even if she has to pretend she's someone else. Worse, is trying to maintain any objectivity with the way too charming Connor. She can't help but get into all kinds of sexy trouble with him. But by going off the record, Charlie is putting both her reputation and her heart on the line...
One Night of Risk
It's good girl Malia Davis's turn to be bad. Very bad. Malia has returned to Kauai to retrieve a piece of crystal her sick mother believes has healing properties. Malia thinks her only problem is accessing the "closed to the public" temple where the crystal is buried. She's wrong. She has an even bigger problem-the guy who broke her heart ten years ago. The guy she hates...and still wants oh-so-badly.
A former Navy SEAL, security expert Clay Doherty is investigating the thefts at the temple. Malia's presence and the undeniable chemistry between them complicate matters. Certain that Malia is up to something, Clay will do whatever it takes to protect her...even if it means losing her for good."

Worth the Risk ~ 5 stars
I simply loved the romance Worth the Risk brought. I like my angst but I also love my books where I can completely lose myself in a sweet, sexy, romantic journey with intimacy and passion. I adored Dean and Sam and with a five minute kiss that was just exquisite, I finished this a happy satisfied girl.
Risky Surrender ~ 5 stars
With a man to fall head-over-heels in love with and a lady you would want as your best friend, Risky Surrender left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. McCall hugely surprised me and despite his wealthy playboy reputation, he's a grounded, kind, patient man with a relentless determination. Archaeologist Lucy is a feisty independent lady, who has loved and lost, and with a perfect chemistry, their growing feelings created friendship, romance, wit, intimacy and passion; I flicked the final page completely satisfied and with a huge happy sigh.
His Million Dollar Risk ~ 4 stars
Fun, sexy and enjoyable, His Million Dollar Risk was another great read. Charlie is spontaneous, flighty and sweet and the way she knocks Connor off his stride is fabulous. She unleashes his less serious, fun side and, add to that the fact he’s sexy and unaffected, they’re a couple you simply can’t not love. Whilst I must confess I would have liked a little more focus on Charlie because she was a strong heroine, on the whole I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
One Night of Risk ~ 3.5 stars
Whilst my least favourite of the four, One Night of Risk was still an enjoyable read. I love a second chance romance and Clay and Malia are great together; their chemistry is perfect, both are completely endearing and the passion between them is seriously heated, but I just felt the story running alongside their romance needed more. The setup was there for some action, but seemed to be tied up quite easily in the background and I would've liked to have seen this elaborated on. But Robin has brought her reader a shorter read that does pack a sexy punch and ends with the perfect epilogue.
Copy received courtesy of the author for an honest and unbiased opinion. It was my absolute pleasure.
Due to an error in the bundle file via NG, the only part of the series that was included was the bonus novella One Night of Risk.
Malia and Clay haven’t seen each other for ten years. After he left without saying goodbye, Malia’s heart never healed and she never learned the reasons why the only boy she had ever loved left without saying a single thing.
When her mother’s illness brings her back to the island, she quickly discovers Clay who is staying at her family home while working on a security mission. Worried that loving her would only endanger her, Clay tries to make excuses in his head, but nothing seems to silence what his heart wants. Her. Always.
This was a quick, fun read that was equal parts entertaining and steamy. I loved that the author didn’t get carried away in adding drama. Often times a short novella can be too overwhelming. I really enjoyed Malia and Clay’s easy reunion and can say that this was a pure feel-good read.
You can never go wrong when you pick up a Robin Bielman book. Enough said. But I guess I need to say more than that to make you justify spending your hard earned money on this bundle.
It doesn’t matter if you are a long time reader of this author or new to her, either way this bundle has something for everyone, from the rivals that are Sam and Dean in Worth the Risk, to the oh so sexy (and mine!) McCall and Lucy in Risky Surrender, to the fun and fresh Charlie and Connor in His Million Dollar Risk, to finally the lost lovers in Malia and Clay, you will most definitely find a new book boyfriend or two amongst these stories set in some of the most beautiful places in the United States.
I’m a long term reader of this author and I have never been let down by a story, character or setting and this bundle highlights why I never hesitate to buy her books. I know without seeing a word I am in for an amazing read that will stay with me long after I have moved onto the next book.
The best recommendation I will give you is do what the bundle is called and TAKE A RISK and see if you have found your new must buy author or maybe remind yourself if she already, why she is.
Below is my review for the last book in the bundle. While I’m sad that this is my last Take a Risk series review, I’m looking forward to more from this author and the stories to come.
One Night of Risk
This final novella in the Take a Risk series is to me a heart-warming story of finding your one true love, losing them and never truly getting over them. But also about having fate deal you a truly perfect hand and bring that love back into your life again.
10 years ago Clay and Malia were young and in hopelessly love. Then in an idiotic move to protect her, Clay walked away. Now fate has bought them back to the Hawaiian island that holds so many memories and has given them another chance.
But I did see you. All the time.” He leaned closer again, his lips hovering near hers. “In my thoughts. My dreams. Every day I remembered something about you.” “You left but you didn’t leave,” she whispered. “Yes.” “But you tried.” “I did.” “Me, too.”
Malia is on the island to find a healing crystal for her ailing mother, one that just happens to be in the one place that she never expected to find the man who broke her heart.
Clay is there as part of his job for the Wold Heritage Fund and to catch a bad guy. He never thought that he wold run into the girl who haunts his dreams.
When their worlds collide and the spark of attraction comes roaring back to life, they decide to indulge and have one night together. But when all the old feelings come back, neither can walk away.
“If I stay, it’s going to be in your bed.” Her pounding heart relaxed, the fear that he’d reject her floating away like tiny grains of sand in the wind. “I know.” “And we’re not going to sleep.” “I’m good with that, too.”
But with threat of danger from the bad guy and the fact that it’s too dangerous to get the crystal Malia desperately wants, things go from blissful to tense and this time it’s Malia who walks away.
Can Clay manage to get the bad guy and get his girl who he can’t live without or does fate have it wrong and they really aren’t meat to be together?
I absolutely loved Clay and Malia. They showed that love always wins. They gave the series a perfect send off with a goofy grin inducing epilogue that will have fans of the series finishing it with a happy sigh.
Robin Bielman you have once again showed why you are one of my favourite authors.
I received a copy of this bundle for review from the author for an honest review.
This is a review for two of the stories in this bundle of four sexy novellas linked by characters who are friends and colleagues.
His Million Dollar Risk In this fun and sexy story we meet Connor and Charlize. Connor runs a heritage preservation society and Route 66 is his latest project. When he is reluctantly forced into having a reporter tag along for a week's drive on the route to aid in the publicity for its preservation, Charlize turns out to be nothing like what he expected - a newbie (though she tries to hide it), but not just that, she's fresh and charming and knocks his socks off. But Charlize is keeping a secret - when it comes out (as they always do), will Connor be able to look past it and still see the girl he's fallen for?
This was such a fun and enjoyable story! From their first meeting there are sparks of attraction that just ramp up as the story goes on. Connor is a wonderful character as a somewhat reserved but fair man, who is reluctant to bend to Charlize's charms at the beginning though it doesn't take long for him to start to enjoy her unique approach to life. Charlize is equally charming, flirtatious and innocent and sweet all rolled into one friendly woman. She helps Connor see the beauty of the route he has preserved and leads him off the beaten path in more ways than one. I really enjoyed the trip down the highway as from one spot to the next, a bit of the history of this cross America drive is revealed. The love scenes between them are exciting and steamy and there is no doubt that they are falling for each other, even as their time together on the road is drawing to a close. It was a wonderful read - a definite 5 stars for me.
One Night of Risk When Malia returns to the island of Kauai in hopes of obtaining a special crystal from a site sacred to her people, one that she believes will give her mom hope in her fight against cancer, she doesn't expect to run into her teenage boyfriend Clay. Clay broke her heart years ago, and seems fixed to do it again when it turns out he's in charge of security at the site where she plans to dig up the crystal. The attraction between them is just as strong as ever - can they find a way to trust each other again, with their hearts and their future?
There's a lot of sweet and sexy in this reunited lovers story, and I enjoyed both the main characters quite a bit. Malia is torn in her quest to help her mother - she knows that taking a crystal from the sacred site is stealing, but her mom means everything to her and she's willing to take that risk. Knowing Clay is involved with security on the site makes things ten times harder, as she hasn't forgotten the youthful love they shared, even though he left her without a word and broke her heart. Malia was a sweet and feisty woman, and it was easy to see how torn up she was inside over what to do. Clay is the strong alpha male type, but not without a heart and being back in the same place as Malia has brought back all sorts of old feelings that he thought he had buried. Leaving her in the first place (for reasons!) was hard enough the first time and he would like to keep his heart under control. They have a strong sexual chemistry that leads to some steamy love scenes between them and the rekindling of old wants and desires. I like the way the plot was resolved so that they both get what they need, and a happy ending too. 4 stars.
Note: a copy of this set of stories was provided by the publisher via NetGalley for review.
Robin Bielman’s TAKE A RISK Bundle is engaging and impassioned. The premises are heartwarming, encouraging and inspiring; the characters are colorful and engaging; the happily ever afters are the stuff of fairy tales and hopeful futures. Each of our couples is fated by circumstance and passion with an intense love for the person who calls to their heart. The novellas are quick and easy reads with emotional fall outs and intense interactions but all are connected through the World Heritage Fund and the love of preservation and heritage protection.
I have reviewed each individual storyline below:
____________
WORTH THE RISK (Take A Risk #1) by Robin Bielman
Original Release Date: April 2012 Re-Release: September 15, 2015 as part of the TAKE A RISK bundle by Robin Bielman
ABOUT THE BOOK;
Their love was ancient history…until their paths crossed again.
Samantha Bennett put Dean Malloy out of her mind five years ago, when he broke her heart after a summer fling. But now he’s back in her life, and ready to steal a heritage protection contract that could make or break her career–if he doesn’t steal her heart first. Samantha’s vowed to hate him, but it’s more than anger heating the competition between them.
With sparks flying across the conference table and sizzling in every touch, Dean proposes a weekend liaison. Anything to have Sam again; anything to get her out of his system. But the unresolved feelings between them complicate both their personal and professional lives, and one wild weekend could turn into a disaster that would destroy the one job that means more to Samantha than anything. For a shot at love…is it worth the risk?
REVIEW: WORTH THE RISK is the first installment in Robin Bielman’s adult, contemporary Take A Risk romance series. The series focuses on The World Heritage Fund which specializes in the restoration and preservation of historic sites and archaeological digs-a non profit organization dedicated to heritage protection. WORTH THE RISK follows restoration and preservation experts Samantha Bennett and Dean Malloy’s and the preservation of US Highway Route 66.
Told from dual third person perspectives WORTH THE RISK is a second chance storyline for Dean Malloy and Samantha Bennett. Dean and Sam haven’t seen one another for close to five years following the day Dean walked away without with explanation or future contact. Fast forward to present day where Dean and Samantha find themselves in a bidding war for the same restoration contract through World Heritage Fund, but Dean has an advantage-the company doing the hiring is Dean’s father’s company, but Sam believes her company-Global Site Preservation- is more than capable of handling whatever is offered.
The history between Dean and Sam is one of summer love and heartbreaking regret. Sam was devastated when Dean walked out of her life, and in the ensuing time she has never moved forward with her heart. Meeting Dean after all these years, brings back happy and familiar memories-ones she and Dean are hoping to make again. The $ex scenes are sensual and seductive. The flirty small talk was sexy and fun. There is no over the top graphic sexual imagery.
WORTH THE RISK is a quick read-a little longer than a novella with a reconciliation and a happily ever after. It is a story of second chances; environmental protection; and falling in love. The premise is interesting as the storylines focuses on the historic sites along Route 66; the characters are colorful and believable; the happily ever after and conflict are quick to resolve. The majority of the storyline focuses on the rekindling of the relationship between Sam and Dean.

RISKY SURRENDER (Take a Risk #2) by Robin Bielman
ABOUT THE BOOK: Original Release Date: August 2013 Re-release: September 15, 2015 in the TAKE A RISK anthology by Robin Bielman
Archeologist Lucy Davenport made a promise to retrieve an elusive piece of history buried in the walls of an iconic Indian village. But when she draws unwanted attention that interferes with her secret plans, she’s forced to risk it all with a man who threatens not only her goal, but the walls she’s carefully constructed around her heart.
Keats McCall is an environmental preservationist navigating the globe on behalf of heritage protection. When he catches Lucy at his latest project, he suspects she’s up to something. She’s secretive, sexy as hell—and has trouble written all over her. He devises a plan to keep her close so he can keep an eye on her. But what he isn’t prepared for is just how close he wants to get.
REVIEW: RISKY SURRENDER is the second installment (and novella) in Robin Bielman’s contemporary adult TAKE A RISK romance series. This is archeologist Lucy Davenport and environmental preservationist Keats McCall’s storyline. We were first introduced to Keats in book one Worth The Risk. RISKY SURRENDER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.
Told from dual third person perspectives RISKY SURRENDER finds our heroine in a precarious position as she is tasked with seeking out rare finds and historical objects for a man whose reputation is less than worthy. Enter Keats McCall whose business is to protect the archeological and historical finds, and with it comes the suspicion that Lucy has not been honest about her appearance at Keats’s latest dig in an iconic Indian Village. What ensues is a building relationship, built upon a lie, that finds Keats and Lucy falling in love knowing that there is an expiry date upon their relationship when the truth about Lucy’s presence is finally revealed.
RISKY SURRENDER is a storyline wherein our heroine has lost everyone she has ever loved but has found herself in the unenviable position of retrieving the ‘unobtainable’ for a man who likes to collects things that are truly not collectable. Her latest task finds Lucy adhering to a promise she made to her late father but in the end old habits diehard when someone Lucy loves is threatened if she does not retrieve the latest, ancient artifact.
Lucy and Keats’s relationship begins with secrets and lies. Lucy is an archeologist who collects things for other people, and in this Keats sees Lucy as a thief and a threat. Their attraction to one another is immediate; the $ex scenes are seductive. Sam and Dean (WORTH THE RISK #1) make a cameo appearance for a bit of cohesion between stories. Like in the first storyline, there is no over the top graphic sexual imagery.
RISKY SURRENDER is another fast paced, easy read with adventure and the hunt for buried treasure but I felt the character development was a lacking due to the novella length storyline. I am not a fan of ‘info dumping’ but sometimes a couple of paragraphs about personal history and background goes a long pulling the reader into the story. Third person perspective allows for reflection and rumination, and there was room for a little more in Risky Surrender.

HIS MILLION DOLLAR RISK (Take a Risk 3) by Robin Bielman
ABOUT THE BOOK: Original Release Date February 9, 2015 Re-Release: September 15, 2015 as part of the TAKE A RISK bundle by Robin Bielman
Determined to make his latest preservation project on Route 66 a success, Connor Gibson will take any good press he can get. Even if it means spending a week with a reporter. And even if it’s one from a publication he has good reason to hate. Connor certainly isn’t expecting a spontaneous and undeniably attractive blonde who makes him seriously hot for the press…
Charlize Beckett is in deeeep trouble. This is her one chance to prove to her publisher dad that she’s a serious journalist, even if she has to pretend she’s someone else. Worse though, is trying to maintain any objectivity with the way too charming Connor. She can’t help but get into all kinds of sexy trouble with him. But by going off the record, Charlie is putting both her reputation and her heart on the line.
REVIEW: HIS MILLION DOLLAR RISK is the third installment in Robin Bielman’s adult, contemporary Take a Risk romance series focusing on a tight knit group of friends. This is millionaire and preservationist Connor Gibson and journalist Charlize (Charli) Beckett’s storyline. Connor was quickly introduced in book two Risky Surrender. HIS MILLION DOLLAR RISK can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.
Told from third person point of view, the storyline follows Charli as she sets out on a cross country journey along the infamous Route 66 with Connor Gibson. When Charli’s best friend and fellow journalist Ashley becomes ill, and is unable to travel, Charli jumps at the chance to fill in for her best friend’s assignment with Connor Gibson-an assignment that finds Charli impersonating Ashley in a case of mistaken identity. As Connor and Charli set out on their journey along Route 66, Charli will discover that her connection to Connor goes much deeper than an interview for a magazine. There is a tainted connection and history between our couple-one if discovered by Connor-could very well destroy Charli’s career and their building friendship.
The relationship between Charlize and Connor begins tentatively. Connor abhors journalists; his family history with the media predisposes his dislike for all things relating to interviews and journalism but his desire to promote the preservation of Route 66 finds him reluctantly allowing Charli along for the ride. Charli’s interview with Connor will reveal some secrets that hit too close to home. The developing friendship will quickly turn to lovers when our couple is confined with one another 24/7 but Charli’s continuous lie about her true identity is about to come crashing down and destroy her hopes for a future with the man with whom she is falling in love. The $ex scenes are passionate and moving.
The secondary and supporting characters include some of the colorful people Charli and Connor meet along Route 66. Charli’s BFF Ashley is but one phone call away at all times; and Connor’s friends will reveal Charli’s true identity.
HIS MILLION DOLLAR RISK is a fast paced, sweet but predictable read with a little bit of fun and romance, a little bit of $ex, and a little bit of historic scenery. Robin Bielman will captivate your imagination as your travel along with Charli and Connor down the infamous Route 66.

One Night of Risk (Take a Risk Bundle 4) by Robin Bielman Release Date: September 15, 2015
With her mom sick, good girl Malia Davis has returned to Kauai in order do something bad-retrieve a piece of crystal believed to have healing properties. She thinks her only problem is accessing the “closed to the public” temple. She’s wrong. She has an even bigger problem-former Navy SEAL and security expert Clay Doherty, the guy who broke her heart ten years ago who she still wants. Certain that Malia is up to no good, Clay will do whatever it takes to protect her…even if it means losing her for good.
REVIEW: ONE NIGHT OF RISK is the fourth installment in Robin Bielman’s adult, contemporary TAKE A RISK romantic novella series focusing on the men who work for the World Heritage Fund- a non profit organization dedicated to heritage protection. This is yoga instructor Malia Davis, and Clay Doherty, former Navy SEAL and head of security for WHF. Clay was first introduced in book two Risky Surrender. ONE NIGHT OF RISK can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.
Told from dual third person perspectives ONE NIGHT OF RISK is a second chance storyline for Malia and Clay. Ten years earlier Clay enlisted in the military, walking away from Malia, the woman he loved, without a word or a glance. Fast forward to present day and our heroine’s mother is ill. Malia has returned to Kauai in search of a Peridot Crystal long believed to be imbued with healing powers. But Clay is head of security at the Halia Alika Temple where Malia has set her sites on the ancient burial grounds in the hopes of unearthing the gemstone to potentially help heal her mother. What ensues is the rekindling of a romance, and Malia’s heartbreaking pain when she goes home empty handed-without the Peridot and without the man.
The relationship between Malia and Clay is one of love that has never faltered although Malia harbors hatred and sorrow for the decade she lost with the man that she once loved. The $ex scenes are provocative and steam, and a little more erotic than in the previous storylines.
All of the previous storyline couples play a secondary and supporting role as we get a glimpse into their current lives, expanding families and professions of love and a happily ever after.

A perfect blend of sweet and hot romance, intrigue, humor and heritage preservation!
“If I stay, it’s going to be in your bed.” Her pounding heart relaxed, the fear that he’d reject her floating away like tiny grains of sand in the wind. “I know.” “And we’re not going to sleep.” “I’m good with that, too.”
The TAKE A RISK BUNDLE by Robin Bielman combines all four novellas that have made up her Take a Risk series - one of which was previously unpublished up till now! Each of the stories in this heartwarming series have had an interwoven conservation message within the sweet and hot romance. They each work well as standalone stories, if that is your preference, while they share the theme of love and of heritage preservation.
This anthology includes the first-time release of ONE NIGHT OF RISK with an awesome epilogue that does a great job of wrapping up all four novellas with a pretty tidy bow. All the heroes and heroines from the previous books make an appearance in the epilogue. Did you hear my contented smile? It wouldn't have been a more perfect ending.
This review will be for Book #4, ONE NIGHT OF RISK. It's the story of former Navy SEAL and security expert Clay Doherty and his childhood sweetheart, Malia Davis. As the story opens, we learn that Malia's mother is very sick and Malia has returned to Kauai, her childhood home, which is near a protected temple to harvest a healing peridot crystal to take to her mother. Malia did not expect to find her former boyfriend staying in her home and working as the World Heritage Fund's chief of security at the shrine.
Ten years ago, Clay and Malia were young and hopelessly in love. Then, Clay, believing Malia deserved better than him, walked away in a misguided move to give her the life that was her due. Clay never thought that he would run into the girl who haunts his dreams every night again. Now, a decade later, fate has bought them both back to the lush Hawaiian island that holds so many memories and they've been granted another chance.
The tale started a little slow, but quickly snared my interest once the romance ignited making it impossible to put it down from that point forward!
One Night of Risk is the fourth and final novella in Robin Bielman’s Take a Risk novella series. Sadly, this is my first time reading a book from this series. The good part is One Night of Risk is a standalone read. However, Clay does make appearances in the three previous books. I can definitely understand why readers have been asking for his story.
One Night of Risk is a second chance love story, taking place about ten years after Malia and Clay break up as teenagers. Clay Doherty has always wanted to save the world. That desire propelled him to become a Navy SEAL and now a security expert for the World Heritage Foundation. Malia Davis is a middle child and has pretty much gotten lost in the pecking order. She has a caring nature and one of the reasons why she and Clay connected as teenagers was because he actually saw her as a person.
The two accidentally meet up again in Kauai, Hawaii. Clay is there to hopefully capture someone he’s been after for awhile now. Malia is there to get the one thing she thinks will help make her sick mother a little more comfortable. Neither expects their old feelings for each other to still be there. Neither expects to actually want more than one night of their designated time in Hawaii to end. But when Clay’s work and Malia’s secret plan collide, the two are going to have to be prepared to risk it all for love.
I loved these characters. You can actually feel their love for each other through the pages. The romance is perfect. It’s not closed door, but it also isn’t explicit. While the blurb doesn’t allude to the story having suspense elements, reading it I got a feeling it would. My biggest disappointment with the story was that the suspense that could have been there had a flat resolution and became an afterthought to the couple conflict.
Regardless of the suspense element, I have no doubt fans of this series will love One Night of Risk. In fact, all of the past characters make an appearance and you get to see how life has treated them. Now, I have to find time to go back and read the rest of this series. I know overall, I will not be disappointed.
**Received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest unbiased opinion.**
This is a Terrific Set of Reads and an Awesome Deal! I am so thrilled to have discovered this new to me author. I was generously offered a complimentary copy of the bundle via NetGalley for an honest review, and after reading the blurb, and an editorial review "If you're looking for an easy, sexy and enjoyable read with men you can have a bit of swoon over and ladies you want as your best-friend, than look no further, because Take A Risk has four fabulous couples that fit the bill. ~ Nicola, Goodreads" I was all in. This author has stacked up a set of four really awesome reads, with some totally drool-worthy men and some really awesome ladies. You will not want for anything with this set, there is heat, steam, electrifying chemistry, love, laughter, and all with really great stories. I am hard pressed to pick a favorite, but if I really have to choose I will pick Sam and Dean in Worth the Risk. (To the people that know what a Supernatural freak I am, the irony will not be lost on you :) They are the epitome of the perfect second chance couple. Their story is sexy, funny and totally goes straight to your heart. My second Fav is Connor and Charlie in His Billion Dollar Risk. This is a seriously opposites attract love story, with humor and light, and love that blooms on the road. All of the reads are easy and interesting and all of the characters are so lovable that I have to put this one down as a must read. I am so intrigued with the author's writing and can't wait to read more from her.
This is the beginning of a wonderful series which is full of great love stories and amazing historic places!
Samantha and Dean share a past together, they loved each other but somehow they separated leaving Samantha heartbroken. Years later they meet again as competitors for a job but they cannot forget their feelings.
Samantha has a lovely personality, she is intelligent and passionate about her work and Dean is a very confident, alpha male.
This is a story that true romantics will like and it will give you a boost to read the other three books!
*Risky Surrender review* Lucy is an archeologist that plays with the boundaries of law. When she loses everything and she needs to keep her promise to get a sculpture from an Indian village illegally, she stumbles upon Keats McCall. McCall is a character we have already met in "Worth the risk". He is a an environmental preservationist whose job is to protect the village's history from people like Lucy. What happens when they meet? Sparkles fly and their story begin.
Lucy is very independent and needs nobody's help. She is smart, secretive but also vulnerable and lonely. When McCall gets to know her a little better, he understands that he needs to protect and keep Lucy close. He is playful, sexy and he shows Lucy that he cares about her. They experience new things which bring them closer and it is natural for them to fall in love. Obstacles and threats though get their relationship tested. Lucy has to decide if she is going to trust McCall and give their love a chance.
I really loved the story and their characters. We also have a guest appearance from Sam and Dean from book one "worth the risk" and we get to know how their relationship is going.
Robin's writing is getting better and better and I would recommend it to everyone that loves a romantic story with a little bit of adventure.
*His Million Dollar Risk review* Just finished it and loved it!This is the third book in the series,it can be read as a standalone but though Robin keeps her unique writing, the story is so different than the previous two books.
Connor hates reporters but he has to spend his week with one so he can make his latest project on preserving route 66 a success.Charlie on the other hand wants to prove her worth and she will do anything for that, even if it means that she has to lie.
Connor doesn't expect to fall in love with the mischieving blonde and lose all his control. He is stubborn, always on the clock, closed off but also sexy, serious all alpha male. Charlie pretends to be someone else but she doesn't know that she will meet our irresistable hero and want to tell all her truths. Charlie is carefree, innocent, a bit aloof and adorable.
Together they take an amazing road trip and little by little they fall for each other. But can they overpass the lie that is stuck between them?
What I love about this book is that the characters are total opposites but slowly they meet in the middle and their love blooms. Another thing that I like is the road trip itself.Robin wrote so vividly about those places that made me look on the internet if they were real. Not to forget all the laughs throughout the book;Robin has such a cute humor that somehow the characters evolve too and it makes you smile, because the scenes are funny but also you can see glimpses of the writer's personality too and it is extraordinary.
Overall, this is another great book by Robin with amazing characters, inviting scenery and as always it leaves you with a giddy feeling in your heart.
*One night of risk review*
Malia is a girl with a goal, to steal a healing crystal for her sick mother from a protected temple. She didn't expect to find her lost love there in her house whose job is to watch the historic place.
Clay has never forgotten his first and true love. Living a dangerous life, he had left her for her protection but now she is back and his heart is beating just for her. He doesn't know if he has to push her away or keep her close for her protection. So they decide for a last fling.
Malia is afraid to be hurt again, she is vulnerable and keeps her walls up. Clay has learned that leaving in solitude is the safest for the ones he loves. Two broken souls though can mend together. Their love is above all, so their story begins.
This is a sweet book with many great scenes and an epilogue that will leave you content as we see all their previous characters from the series. I am sad that this series is over but I cannot wait to see what else Robin has for us!
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley/Entangled Publishing for an honest review. "Take a Risk Bundle" by Robin Bielman includes four novellas with the theme of heritage architecture (restoring or preserving building, roads, and landmarks). The author did a great job of including information about heritage architecture without it taking away from the stories.
Worth the Risk Samantha Bennett and Dean Malloy had a summer fling five years ago. Dean let Samantha walk away which broke her heart. Samantha doesn't know it but Dean is her competition on a contract that is important to her job. The author gets your attention right away. The reader can feel the emotions of the characters. You fall in love with Dean and Samantha. I really loved Samantha's character. When Dean and Samantha meet up the sexual tension between them is intense. Will they take the risk? I enjoyed their story. Great ending!
Risky Surrender Lucy Davenport, archaeologist, made a promise to her husband and dad before they died. She will do anything to fulfill this promise even if it's illegal. Keats McCall, environmental preservationist, has a brief meeting with Lucy then meet up three months later. There is chemistry between them from the start. Keats doesn't trust Lucy so he comes up with a plan so he can keep an eye on her. Will Lucy and Keats risk a relationship with everything they have to lose? The author did a great job of where the reader could feel the emotions of Lucy and Keats. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow and change. Great story!
His Million Dollar Risk Connor Gibson is working on a presentation project and agrees to spend a week with a reporter. Charlize Beckett (Charlie) takes a chance to prove to her publisher dad that she is a serious journalist even if she has to pretend she is someone else. What will happen when Connor finds out who Charlie really is? Connor does not like her publisher dad. Charlie is to interview Connor on a week left long road trip. You will fall in love with Charlie right away. Connor's character was great too but them together was priceless. The chemistry between them was incredible. This was an amazing road trip!
One Night of Risk Malia Davis returns to Kauai to retrieve a piece of crystal from a closed temple. It is believed that this crystal will provide healing properties. Malia's mom is really sick so she is willing to do whatever it takes to get a piece of this crystal. Malia doesn't know that Clay Doherty is working to secure the closed temple area. Clay broke Malia's heart ten years ago. She has never gotten over him. Clay and Malia meet up in Kauai which was a surprise to both of them. Clay believes that Malia is up to no good and wants to protect her. The chemistry between them was stronger than it was ten years ago. The intimate scenes are more intense in this story. Will Clay and Malia be able to resolve all their issues? I really enjoyed the ending!
Each novella is a quick read but the author packs in a lot without the scenes feeling rushed. In all four books you get steamy scenes, romance, humor, and a little knowledge about heritage architecture. FYI, contains mature content. A great read anytime.
The perfect bundle of four novellas, the last story newly published in this bundle. They are all stand alone stories but have the current theme of finding love and the belief of heritage preservation.
Worth The Risk A quick read that I did not want to see end. Samantha and Dean had a fling five years ago, that Dean broke her heart. Now they are pitted against each other for a job. They soon find themselves taking up where things were left off. Loved the re connection of Samantha and Dean, they are so perfect for each other.
Risky Surrender This novella is packed full of action, suspense and romance between Lucy and Keats. Loved the chemistry between these two characters, sizzling right off my kindle. A real page turner.
His Million Dollar Risk You first meet Charlie and Connor at the hotel with a pool mishap. Then the next morning Charlie has to stand in for her friend as a reporter for the next week on a week long job with interviewing Connor. The interview takes you along on a wild, epic journey down Route 66. The only problem is that Charlie has lied about her name, Connor thinks it is Ashley. Charlie is the daughter of the owner of the magazine, doing the interview. It turns out Charlie's dad lied about a previous story involving Connor's mom. When the truth comes out can Connor forgive Charlie, or as he calls her Goldilocks.
Loved the opposites of these characters, Charlie is so care free and Connor is so much serious. Charlie does her darnest to bring out some fun in Connor. There is a great sexual chemistry between two. I really enjoyed their road trip.
One Night of Risk The story of Malia and Clay. Malia has returned to Kauai to retrieve the "healing crystal" for her ailing mother not expecting to see former boyfriend, now Navy Seal, security guard of the temple. The attraction and sexual chemistry is still very hot but will Malia risk her heart once again.
This bundle is the perfect way to read this 4 novella series. All in one spot!! Each story is independent yet connected through location, characters, and the belief in heritage preservation. I would recommend this collection to everyone!
Worth the Risk - Fun, sexy, heartwarming read that I hated to see end. One summer five years ago Dean and Samantha had the summer of their life and neither one forgot the other. This is the story of when the meet again. It's a great quick read you don't want to miss.
Risky Surrender - She's trying to steal a historic artifact. He's trying to preserve a historical site. Opposite sides most definitely but their attraction pulls them together. This is a great quick read that is totally entertaining.
His Million Dollar Risk - Really enjoyable read that I found filled with humor, sexy, and completely entertaining. This couple has a great way of balancing and bringing out the best in each other. Connor is all business and very serious about his current preservation project and wants as much good press as he can get. Charlie is fun and carefree but desperately wants her fathers approval. So when the reporter who was to cover the story becomes ill, Charlie steps in to spend the week with Connor and write the story. Their journey begins but it isn't exactly what either of them thought it would be! This is a good one!
One Night of Risk - A fantastic second chance story that rounds out the series beautifully. Malia Davis is back in Kauai to retrieve a piece of "healing" crystal for her ailing mother. The last person she expects to see is the man who broke her heart, Clay Doherty. More troubling yet is the fact that the spark and attraction is still there but can she live through him walking away again?? Very enjoyable read!!
The Take a Risk bundle by USA Today best selling author Robin Bielman includes three of her popular Take a Risk novellas plus an additional, never-before-published novella, One Night of Risk.
Worth the Risk Samantha Bennett put Dean Malloy out of her mind five years ago, when he broke her heart after a summer fling. But now he's back in her life, and ready to steal a heritage protection contract that could make or break her career-if he doesn't steal her heart first. Samantha's vowed to hate him, but one wild weekend could change everything.
Risky Surrender When Keats McCall catches Lucy Davenport at his latest project, he suspects she's up to no good. She's secretive, sexy as hell-and has trouble written all over her. He devises a plan to keep her close so he can watch her. But what he isn't prepared for is just how close he wants to get.His Million Dollar Risk Charlize Beckett is in deeeep trouble. This is her one chance to prove to her publisher dad that she's a serious reporter, even if she has to pretend she's someone else. And the subject of the story, Connor Gibson, is way too charming for her to maintain any objectivity, or even keep her from getting into all kinds of sexy trouble. By going off the record, Charlie is putting both her reputation and her heart on the line...One Night of Risk With her mom sick, good girl Malia Davis has returned to Kauai in order do something bad-retrieve a piece of crystal believed to have healing properties. She thinks her only problem is accessing the "closed to the public" temple. She's wrong. She has an even bigger problem-former Navy SEAL and security expert Clay Doherty, the guy who broke her heart ten years ago who she still wants. Certain that Malia is up to no good, Clay will do whatever it takes to protect her...even if it means losing her for good.
Take A Risk Bundle by Robin BielmanMy rating: 4 of 5 starsIn the past I have had the pleasure of reading each book from this set. The Take A Risk series is how I became acquainted with author Robin Bielman. With titillating characters, well rounded stories and hot situations this box set is a wonderful gift. My favorite aspect of these novellas is that they bring the emotion but also drive the point home that falling in love is the ultimate risk with the biggest payoff. View all my reviews

Updated 15/9/2015 to add reviews of the whole bundle.
If you’re looking for an escape, like a bit of history to go along with your smart alpha men and women clever and feisty enough to match them, then this bundle is probably for you.
Worth the Risk is a competitive second chance romance, with smart Sam colliding with outdoor boy Dean. It’s full of fun and sass, a bit of yearning, plenty of good memories and lots of heat in the present. I loved reading about the two of them growing closer again after five years apart and how their interests merged. They make a really good team – even if it is a tiny bit annoying how long it takes them to realise it!
Although I did enjoy Risky Surrender it’s probably my least favourite of the four. Lucy is so anxious most of the time and I never could quite match her archeology roots with the fact she’s essentially stealing artifacts – and occasionally damaging the history she should have been wanting to explore. There were times when it seemed like the risk was more important to her than achieving her aims, which is why she always turned down McCall’s help. I did like McCall though, and once the two of them finally team up they’re great. I’d love to read more adventures with them both being on the same side.
His Million Dollar Risk is the most fun of the four, with much more of a carefree feel, even though it all starts off with a lie that means things won’t end well. I loved Charlie in her clumsy, forgetful, sweet way. She definitely teaches Connor how to relax and enjoy himself, and I loved reading about their trip along Route 66. Yes, I could always see how it was going to end, but getting there was too much fun to care. This was definitely one of my favourites – though I can’t choose between this and Worth the Risk.
New for this release, One Night of Risk is a sexy second-chance romance, between good girl Malia and bad boy Clay. They were secretly in love as teenagers, until Clay upped and left without a word and broke Malia’s heart. When Malia returns to Hawaii to track down some sacred peridot to help heal her sick mother, the last thing she expects to find in her family home is the man she once loved. But Clay has more things on his mind than rekindling his romance with Malia – or at least, that’s what he keeps telling himself.
I have to admit that while I found the romance scorching and thoroughly engrossing, the other side of the plot was… less enthralling. The whole idea of Malia turning up at a special historical site and just digging stuff up struck me as fairly ridiculous – especially as she’s hopeless about it. I can understand her wanting something special for her mother, but was that seriously the only peridot she could source or that would work? As for Clay’s side of things, I found that a bit disappointing. He doesn’t really do any work, he just worries about it and has sex with Malia. As for the whole rusty nail incident? It seemed a touch unnecessary.
But if you ignore all that fluff and stuff and concentrate on the romance, then this is great. The chemistry is hot, Malia is nice without being a pushover and Clay may have a bad boy reputation, but he’s pretty sweet underneath. In all it makes for a short, hot read that I thought could have been even stronger without the silly side bits. It did, however, leave me thoroughly intrigued about the rest of the bundle.
In all I really enjoyed this bundle. It has heat and chemistry, second chance romances and opposites attract, as well as a bit of action, a touch of danger and plenty of cute and fun times. The characters are likeable, the stories are readable and it all adds up to a delightful quartet of escapes.
So, if you like hot, protective guys and women who are smart enough to match them, with an added touch of historical monuments then this bundle might just be for you. The reads are quick, the chemistry is hot and the romance is satisfying – which is exactly what I would expect from a Robin Bielman book.

The Take a Risk series by bestselling author Robin Bielman has been put together for a special bundle that includes the first three stories, Worth the Risk, Risky Surrender, and His Million Dollar Risk plus a new, never before published fourth story entitled One Night of Risk. Each story is set in the world of environmental protection and preservation and have one or both of the characters actively involved in the cause and gives the reader a feeling of being part of an adventure. Three of the four male characters--Keats McCall, Connor Gibson, and Clay Doherty--work for the World Heritage Fund while Dean Malloy is the son of the founder and head of WHF and used to work for the organization before starting his own. I'm reviewing and rating the stories separately, with the series receiving a total average rating of 4.5 stars.
Worth the Risk (Book One) - five stars This was a really great start to the series and one that has two former lovers reuniting but both after the same thing career-wise. Even with the competitive nature of their task, Dean and Sam can't deny the connection between them is still there. I loved these two together, especially since they've both matured over the five years that they were apart. When you learn the reasons for the separation, you can't help but think about all those wasted years, but then the present also gets in the way and it's a hurdle that forces them to either walk away again or finally fight for what they want and hope for the best possible outcome.
Risky Surrender (Book Two) - four stars This second story was good and I liked Lucy's background story and why it is she was doing what she had to do in the beginning. McCall goes above and beyond to help her out when he sees her again, though I would hardly think that someone would actually do all the stuff he did for someone he barely knows. I mean, I get doing something nice for someone else or wanting to keep someone close because you don't fully trust them and want to keep watch, but McCall's action spoke of someone overly invested in another individual and I felt that it wasn't realistic. Still, this was interesting and entertaining from the beginning 'til the end.
His Million Dollar Risk (Book Three) - five stars I quite liked this third story, especially with the lead characters on a road trip and Connor helping Charlie achieve a few firsts in her life. Charlie is endearingly clueless at times, but she remains appealing all throughout. Connor's dislike for the publication Charlie works for is perfectly understandable and while he's somewhat averse to reporters, there's something refreshing about the one he finds himself stuck with. The adventure these two have may not be one that adrenaline junkies seek but it is an adventure nonetheless and it was fun and lighthearted. This is definitely one of my two favorites in the entire series.
One Night of Risk (Book Four) - four stars There are two familiar elements in this fourth story: the first being the second chance trope that the first book also had, and the second being the female lead character needing to get something from a site being worked on by the male lead character, a similar theme found in the second book. Of course, there are enough differences for this one to stand on its own, what with Clay and Malia having been childhood friends and former sweethearts far longer plus the handling of the whole taking something situation. A definite bonus involved having all four couples from the series together and seeing how far they've come.
The Take a Risk Bundle has something for everyone.
Worth the Risk is Samantha and Dean's story. It's a second chance story that leaves you breathless for the love and hurt these two carry from their past relationship. Dean has influenced Sam to live her life the way she wants to, but no man has ever gotten close to her the way Dean has, and she'll probably love him forever. When trying to land a huge contract for her company, running into Dean is the last thing she expected.
Dean hasn't gotten over Sam any better than she has him. Now years later seeing her again has brought it all back. With the contract on the line, will they work it out? or just have the weekend to remember each other by?
Risky Surrender is differnt and about Keats McCall and Lucy. Lucy was a treasure hunter after a sculpture that she made promises about. Its Keats job to keep it safe and protected from treasure hunters while his firm restores the temple. Keeping her safe, but fighting his attraction and doing his job is becoming quite the adventure. Will her need for the sculpture and his need to do the right thing tear them apart? or can they compromise?
His Million Dollar Risk is about Charlie and Connor. Charley is taking over her friends identity to prove to her father that she is a serious reporter. The problem is Connor is too charming for his own good. With his good lucks and charm, traveling along Route 66 is harder than she thought.
One Night of Risk is another second chance romance for Malia and Clay. A long time ago they had a secret affair while they thought no body knew what was going on, they were wrong. Clay left her and almost destroyed her. Meeting again has stirred up all of those feelings left unresolved so long ago. But Malia knows that she can't fall for him again, it will just destroy her. She's on the island to help her mother who is dying of cancer. With the crystal, maybe it will be enough hope to save her. Clay is running security and an secret mission to protect the temple. He knows Malia is up to something but his love her is blinding. This time when she leaves him without a word, will they let that stop the love they have for each other?
I really loved this series and was so happy to have the chance to read it.
Robin Bielman is one of my favorite authors. I realize this is something I have in common with many romance fans, but the Take A Risk bundle showcases why she’s at the top of our must-read list!
Although these four novellas share a common thread, each stands alone as its own separate masterpiece of sexy, sweet, suspenseful…um, did I mention sexy?…contemporary romance. The characters and stories are distinct, well crafted, and Bielman’s voice always engages, but what really comes through in this boxed set is her versatility. Some authors have archetypes they write again and again—the cowboy, the dirty-talking alpha, the sassy heroine—but Bielman offers us fresh, realistically nuanced characters every single time. I know I’m going to like them, but I also know I haven’t read them before. I never get that deja-vu feeling like, “Hey, I remember these two from three books ago, when their names were different but their core conflicts, strengths and shortcomings were exactly the same.”
I’ll be honest and admit I purchased these books as they were released, which means I’d bought and read all but ONE NIGHT OF RISK by the time this bundle came out. However, the price of the bundle equaled what I spent, on average, for the stand-alone novellas, so I didn’t see this as paying for books I already owned. I saw it as paying for ONE NIGHT OF RISK, (and receiving a complimentary compilation of previously released “keepers” all in one place). If you’re buying the bundle having read none of the stories, congratulations, you’ve hit the mother-load. But if you buy the bundle to get the new title, rest assured, ONE NIGHT OF RISK is a full-length novella, not a quick bit of bonus content. In fact, it’s my favorite of the bundle, and that’s saying a lot! Clay Doherty is arguably Bielman’s strongest, hottest, most irresistible hero to date. The scene that kicks off with, “Being polite is the last thing on my mind…” Holy freaking smokes!
There’s also an adorable, satisfying, and oh-so-sexy epilogue that gives a peek at the progress of all the couples. You don’t want to miss it!
This book was a quick hot read. Sam and Dean had a great connection. I always love the second chance at love premise. Theirs was one of pure gold. The way the met five years before was young and fun. Their reunion was grown up and mature. The way they never lost their true feelings was sweet. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. Ms. Bielman never disappoints in her books.
Risky Surrender: Keats intrigued me from the first book Worth the Risk. I was so looking forward to his story. Robin Bielman did not disappoint. Keats and Lucy were amazing together. They had amazing chemistry. She was so fierce and independent. I loved her. She was so strong but felt so loved by Keats. He is an amazing strong male. I am glad I read this book. I enjoyed it even more than the first one. Great couple with a great story!
His Million Dollar Risk: I loved this one. Very sweet, sexy and a whole lot of fun. The places Connor and Charlie visited were so well described that I would love to do a road trip down Route 66 myself. I loved their chemistry and the fun times Charlie made Connor have. And in turn he built her up too. Perfect complements for one another. In true Robin Bielman form, the ending was amazing and heart touching. I love gestures like this. It only makes the book, story, and characters that much more memorable.
One Night of Risk It's always interesting to think back on your first love and wonder what if or what would that person be like now. Malia and Clay got the opportunity to find out...and it was a smoking hot reunion. Despite all the old hurts, their connection was still strong. I love this theme because it is so relatable. And for them to quickly fall back into their old friendship was a beautiful thing. There was a point in the story that got my heart racing, frustration and me asking, "Why are you doing this?" Luckily it worked out in the end and had a perfect ending, including glimpses of the previous couples.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher.
I really enjoyed the chemistry between Sam and Dean. It was heartwarming to read that they were able to get a second chance on their love. Despite it being a short read, they left me with a strong impression and lots of warm fuzzies especially their individual POV flashback moments.

His Million Dollar Risk
This novella is literally packed full of humor, depth, romance and fun. I enjoyed it literally from Page 1 and the first scene at the pool had me chuckling away.
I couldn't help but enjoy together with both Charlie and Conner as they embark on their journey along Route 66 from one spot to another. Robin Bielman has indeed painted a beautiful scene of the Route 66 along with the Dandelion field and the Ferris Wheel. I was totally surprised to read about tiny island Singapore, which is where I reside in mentioned in one of the scenes.
The build up and chemistry between them definitely felt genuine, heartwarming and sweet. I swooned at the scene when Connor met up with Charlie in LA. This is definitely a book to check out and this can be read as a standalone even though it is the 3rd book in this series.

One Night of Risk
Review will be updated
I've finished reading this bundle and I will update my review of the other 2 titles as soon as I can. In short, this is a bundle not to be missed! I definitely enjoyed each read and each book by Robin Bielman. She has some of the most sweestest and most meaningful quotes in her books.
ARC of this bundle given by the author though Netgalley and Entangled Publishing in exchange for a honest review.
Worth the Risk, Book #1, 5-Stars This is a story about love lost and found again. It's about family and forgiveness. A few times I was irritated with Dean but then he'd make up for it in some way. He and Samantha had amazing chemistry in and out of bed. The joy they experienced together, especially when they went zero – G, was so contagious that I found myself smiling right along with them. Great start to a fantastic series!
Risky Surrender, Book #2, 4-Stars I love the way this author connects these characters and pulls the reader into the romance. Even though I usually enjoy books longer in length, I did joy this story. I think there could have been more story line during the romance because it did feel a bit rushed but it was still a fulfilling HEA with a good beginning and ending.
His Million Dollar Risk, Book #3, 5-Stars This is a complete, well thought out story with strong characters. How can you not be drawn to a character like Charlie? She takes care of business but she's also very spontaneous and takes the time to enjoy the little things. She teaches Connor to appreciate life again. These two have chemistry in spades! I truly enjoyed reading this book.
One Night of Risk, bonus novella, 3.5-Stars This is a good second chance story. Clay and Malia have amazing chemistry. The romance was sizzling but the story running in the background was lacking in substance. BUT...the ending was a true HEA.
At the end of the day, this Take a Risk Bundle was a fantastic read! I always look forward to reading anything written by this totally amazing author.
I was not compensated for this review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.
All four books are very well written. This is a new Author for me. I really enjoyed these books.
The books probably could be stand alones but once you start reading the first one the next one takes off with a character from the book before it. And if you are like me you want to know what happens to that character.
I hope you enjoy this bundle of books as much as I did. I give them 5 Stars

I am a new reader to Robin Bielman, and I was blown away. I wont sit here and tell all about all of the books n the bundle. If I did that I would be here for a life time.... What I will say is that I loved everyone of the stories, I wasnt able to put it down and begged for more at the end. The author spins well written stories that leave you gasping, swooning and begging for more. I can't wait to pick up more work from this author.
Received a copy of the title in exchange for an honest review 4.5 / 5 stars {combined rating}
This was a fun series of well written novellas that didn't leave me feeling like I was missing anything, or that things were happening too quickly. I had not previously read Robin Bielman and this group of books has made me a fan.
Fantastic bundle of novellas that will you wishing for more! Four outstanding stories that will offer something for everyone. I won't go give you break each story down because honestly each novella has something special to offer. I highly recommend this bundle. Don't miss this bundled series of secrets, wishes, and a sexy cat-and-mouse chase. Four books of adventure with fast paced writing, heroes that command, woman who are strong and sexy with stories that pull you in!
Four books with enough heat to keep you satisfied on a weekend adventure.
I received an advance reader copy for a fair and honest review.
Worth the Risk: I liked this story, because we have to former lovers reunited. They fell apart, because of ambition and pride. Now they get a second chance, but the question is will ambition and pride separate Dean and Sam again. It sucks to be them, because they are both pitching their ideas to Dean's father. They both still have lot of chemistry, and is it enough to keep them together after everything is said and done.
Yep a quick little read, and these two are great together.
Risky Surrender: I actually thought Risky Surrender was a delightful read. Basically, you have a nice story line that isn't too complicated and works well to give you a satisfying ending. Sometimes novellas can be little rush to get to the happy ending, but Robin manages not rush the story. Honestly, it has a nice pace. Lucy and Keats are great together. One thing Lucy isn't fawning over Keats, because he's rich and handsome. Instead she's trying to go under his radar. Yet, Keats isn't going to have that. Actually he wants to help Lucy, but she just needs to be forth coming in whats going on in her life. They do have a great dynamic together.
Overall, an enjoyable novella. So, if you are looking for a quick read that isn't too rushed, you might want read Risky Surrender.
His Million Dollar Risk:
His Million Dollar Risk is an adorable read. Oh my god, such a cute story and makes it cute is Charlie. Her enthusiasm is infectious. The way she sees Route 66 is like a child seeing an amusement park for the first time. Her joy spreads over to Connor. Now Connor is a stick in the mud. At the beginning of the story he's rigid and unmovable, and totally has a hard time with Charlie. However, he lets loose and starts seeing things like Charlie. Yet, there's a slight snag in their budding relationship, he believes her to be the reporter that's suppose to interview him. Whoops.
Oh my goodness, His Million Dollar Risk is so freaking adorable. Charlie is adorkable. No one can help falling in love with her, even Connor.
One Night of Risk:
One Night of Risk is a little more steamier than other stories, but still a pretty good read. We have Malia who is trying to find hope for her mother in a form of a crystal. However, there are risk to getting this crystal like the fact that it's on sacred ground and it's protected. Yeah, it could be a problem. The other problem comes in a form of a former lover who works for the company that is trying to protect this area. Yep, good times. At the time Clay broke Malia's heart he thought he was doing the right thing. Silly men.
Anyway, steamy yep. Reunited lovers, yes. Is there happy ending for these two, it's a romance it would be pretty crappy if there wasn't. Anyway, one of the sweetest ending that choked me up.
Overall, the bundle is a pretty sweet deal, because you get three previous novellas put together with a new story. We actually met Clay in His Million Dollar Risk. All the stories tie together in one way or another.
I’m a big fan of history and I loved the way it was the backbone of this series. I didn’t think heritage preservation could be sexy, but Robin Bielman definitely changed my mind. These books made it seem like a lot of fun too and made me kind of want to get out there and give it a try. I really enjoyed all 4 stories in the series and I’m glad I got a chance to read them all at once.
Worth the Risk:
This story had all the elements of a fun, sexy read. Not only was it a second chance romance, which I love, but there was a ton of tension between Samantha and Dean because they happen to be each other’s competition for a heritage preservation contract that is extremely important to them both. The contract will help elevate the company that Dean started after breaking away from his father’s company, but getting the job means that Samantha gets to keep hers, otherwise, she might be looking for a new employer altogether. The sexual tension mixed with the professional tension made for a great story. I loved watching them both realize what was more important.
Risky Surrender:
I really liked Keats from the little bit we saw of him in Worth the Risk. I had a feeling if he got his own story, I’d liked it and I was right. I loved him with Lucy. Her story was so sad, losing her father and her husband the way she did. She made them a promise that she didn’t intend to let go, even if meant getting herself in trouble. It didn’t help that her strings were also being pulled by a very bad man that her dad had been involved with. I loved how Keats was with Lucy, how he wanted to help her, but didn’t really trust her. The attraction between them was evident and hot and heavy. I really enjoyed this story ad I enjoyed seeing Sam and Dean in this one, even if it was briefly.
His Million Dollar Risk:
I really liked Connor and Charlize and the road trip aspect of the story. I hated that Charlize had to keep a secret from Connor the entire ride. It took away from the story a little for me because I knew eventually the fun they were having was going to end when her truth was revealed. I loved that she encouraged him to stray from his plans and visit sites off the beaten path. She was a great influence on him and his rigid ways. Together they were absolutely hot, their chemistry was off the charts.
One Night of Risk:
I love second chance romances and this one was a doozy. I felt for Malia. Her story was a sad one and her reason for being on Kauai trying to dig up a crystal was heartbreaking. I wanted Clay to just let her have what she needed and leave her be, but there was way too much unfinished business between them. I’m glad that Clay stood in her way. I enjoyed watching them realize that their feelings for each other never went away. I loved the way everything was wrapped up with both Clay’s business at the site and Malia’s need for the crystal. This was a great way to end the series.
Arc provided by the publisher via Netgalley for an honest review
I have previously read and posted reviews for the first three stories in this bundle so I will focus on the final story, One Night of Risk for this review. The opening of this story reunites Clay and Malia after 10 years apart. It appears that it will be a short-lived reunion but Miss Bielman treats the readers to a wonderful journey guiding Clay and Malia to their very own happily-ever-after.
