The author is obviously too inclined to the literary standpoint of James Baxter‘s， lots of critics in this book would probably br defied by Mason himself， especially the accusation of the degeneration by Marxist poetics. However， it‘s a real good book though， with detailed comments on each poem and rather valid sources which I didn't see in other biographies.
