As oldest daughter of the retired alpha, Tina Hawthorne lives to serve her pack. She’s never been tempted to throw caution to the wind for a man — until Rick Rivera returns. Especially with a dangerous new foe haunting the night and Rick harboring a few secrets — and enemies — of his own.

There’s more than meets the eye on Twin Moon Ranch, home to a pack of shapeshifting wolves willing to battle for life and love.

USA Today and Amazon best-selling author Anna Lowe loves putting the "hero" back into heroine and letting location ignite a passionate romance. She likes a heroine who is independent, intelligent, and imperfect — a woman who's doing just fine on her own. But give the heroine a good man (not to mention a chance to overcome her own inhibitions) and she'll never turn down the chance for adventure, nor shy away from danger.

On any given weekend, you might find her hiking in the mountains or hunched over her laptop, working on her latest story. Either way, the day will end with a chunk of dark chocolate and a good read.

~ 4 Desert Heart Stars ~

Desert Heart is book four in The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch series by Anna Lowe. This was a sweet addition to the series.

Tina finally gets her chance at love, but it won’t be easy. She has watched both her brothers find mates and have children, while she has no one. Tina suffers in silence, she has played the role of the Alphas daughter while keeping a very big secret. She is devoted to those she loves, smart, strong, and has always been a mystery. To finally see her let go and battle for her fated one was lovely. Rick is sexy, fun, and very open about his feelings for Tina. Rick is not a quitter and he made a plan to win the only women for him. These two have great chemistry and watching them battle their feelings and make the right decisions was magnificent. I also enjoyed seeing the whole family of Twin Moon and spending time with them. We also get to meeting Tina’s sister and I’m curious to see where her story goes.

Desert Heart is a quick read with a few surprises along the way. I highly recommended this series, especially if you enjoy werewolves. It’s unique, emotional, and the author always gives us a sweet and happy ending.

I really enjoy this series. I never was a great fan of the desert. My people are mountain folk. But Lowe's description of the desert has made an impact on my heart. The characters in this series are truly engaging, and the storylines gripping.

I received a free copy from Anna Lowe in exchange for an honest review.

I finished reading 'Desert Heart' & had to take a break today before I started this review... I'm still unsure what words I'm going to use for this. I FLOVE Anna's "The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch" series & this book was no different, PLEASE read this series in chronological order, as each is filled to the brim with information.

Tina has always been there since the beginning, taking on the role of alpha female since her father didn't have a true mate; looking after the packs young, looking after the ranch's finances, etc. But once her brothers found their true mates you could see her decline in happiness... her entire existance was "for the good of the pack".... In 'Desert Heart' Anna allows us to see the WHY, boy does she ever. The brief back flashes, filled with her love for the neighbors son, quickly makes things VERY understandable. That is until Tina mets the neighbours new Ranch Manager...

OMG there was so much information about Tina, her past, her unhappiness, her regrets, then she came out of her shell & started to shine. It was wonderful. Then the danger comes & ALL the shifters need to come together to eliminate it or be eliminated... what a fight that was, adrenaline junky here. SO I went from gripping my seat in suspense to a full on UGLY CRY, the drops wouldn't stop.... I CAN'T WAIT for the next book in this series, bring it on Anna Lowe!!

Omg! I've been dying for Tina's story to be told and as usual Ms. Lowe did not disappoint. I fell in love with the characters and felt like I was actually Tina. Rick knew he would never love another and he didn't even try. Although he was a famous baseball star he held on to his humble roots. their love was so strong that even for a human they seemed to sense each other's feelings and he knew this time he would not strike out with him woman. Rick said this was his third try and all be damn if he was giving up Tina. Tina tried to resist her pull to Rick but the fates were destined that she was gonna be with him. But trouble lurked around the corner. A mighty thing wanted to tear apart the state, people double crossing people, you name it it was there trying to discourage her from being with mate. Mighty fight broke out, allies working together, a mate's bite, death, and then the explaining what she and the people of Twin Moon were are looked in this story. This is one story you really need to read....One more thing, why is it the woman always know that it's a mate thing (maybe we're smarter, you know that women's intuition and all

As the old Alpha’s daughter, Tina has always been there to care for her family, her pack. As her brothers found their mates and true happiness no one has asked what Tina wants from life. It seems they simply assume she’ll continue taking care of pack matters, pack families as she always has. No one seems surprised that Tina has no interest in finding her own mate. Perhaps that’s because she knows perfectly well who she loves, who her true mate is …and since he is human, he is forever forbidden to her. She has loved him since their childhood years, living on neighboring ranches, playing at what might have been between them, if only.

Rick has gone off to college, then on to a professional baseball career. Fame, glory, women, money – it was nice he supposed, but it wasn’t what he honestly wanted. That was wrapped up in a beautiful, strong, intelligent, sexy woman back home. Tina, the one woman he’d give just about anything to call his own. When he took the ranch manager job, Rick knew that sooner or later he’d run into Tina once again. His plans were laid, he had time – but he wasn’t letting his woman go again. Not in this lifetime.

Desert Heart finally brings us Tina’s story. She’s been a strong and powerful force in the background of the previous stories and in the pack. Her underlying sadness has always been apparent. Now we know why. Rick is also keeping secrets. And at a time when an even larger threat is looming over the Twin Moon Ranch and the surrounding area – it’s long past time for both of them to give up their secrets for truth and each other.

I liked Tina and Rick together. Sure, they’re going to have bumps along the road to their happiness. Danger awaits them, evil is rising and they have to fight with everything they’ve got to save not only their pack, their families, their friends – but themselves as well.

If you’re a Shifter Romance reader, then I believe you’d enjoy this title and this series, which has a new release coming in March 2017. A solid story, believable couples and interesting secondary characters. This is a series that keeps fresh, keeps growing and keeps entertaining. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who loves Shifters.

I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

When the Twin Moon Ranch gets a new manager at the neighbouring ranch, Tina can´t believe her eyes - it´s her childhood sweetheart, and the one her Wolf wants.
But he´s human, has no idea of their true nature, and it seems like he´s not truthful about his business, either.
When a new danger threatens Tina and the pack gets their hands full, but the thought about Rick is never far away. Can she forget the yumminess he promises, or will she give in to temptation? And would they even get a chance at happiness, when danger closes in?
PNR Romance, shifters, action and smutty fuff in a great combo.
Love the Twin Moon shifters <3

ARC- The long awaited story of Tina. It was well worth it. I seriously loved it! A roller coaster ride of emotions from laughter to crying, the worst danger yet to come to Twin Moon Ranch with sizzling romance scenes and the purest of love's. You really can't beat the Twin Moon Ranch series by Author Anna Lowe (unless of course it's another series by her).

Series: The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch #4
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

As the daughter of the retired alpha, Tina Hawthorne lives to help her pack. She never was tempted to throw caution to the wind, except with Rick Rivera. Her first love is back and all grown up, and more determined than ever to win Tina over.

This was an enjoyable second chance romance. Tina and Rick have loved each other since they were teenagers but Tina refused to marry him twice or go with him when his baseball career took off. She knew she couldn’t leave her pack. Now seven years later they are getting a second chance. I enjoyed Tina and Rick’s story a lot more than some of the previous ones. These two had a lot of chemistry and I enjoyed how hard Rick fought for Tina. Also the 20 day rule was very interesting and a great life motto.

This story introduced new information on the change to shifter for mates as well. Apparently women rarely successfully turn their partners, which is why Tina is so afraid to continue their relationship. This is interesting but also kinda sucks. But this shifter is already male centered so I am not totally surprised that the female shifters can’t turn people successful either.

The villain in this was interesting because demons hadn’t been mentioned before. I think it was an interesting twist and enjoyed seeing the different shifters work together to bring it down. I was expecting a bit more info on how it was unleashed but it’s fine.

Overall, this was an enjoyable second chance romance. I liked these two a lot and look forward to seeing their happy future in the rest of the series.

I was gifted a free copy and have voluntarily chosen to leave an honest review.

We finally get to know Tina's story after she sparked our curiosty in book one. She always seemed so desolute, but strong and determined to do the best for her pack nonetheless.

Tina fell in love and found her mate when she was just a teenager but had to say goodbye to him when his life took a different route. She now immerses herself in the ranch and her pack, while standing by and watching her brothers find their mates. She felt hopeless with the thought of never getting her happy ending.

Rick felt the pull towards Tina from his childhood and couldn't deny the attraction between them. He thought it would pass as time went by, but was sorely mistaken. He comes back to the neighbouring ranch and the pull is as strong as ever.

Rick wants forever with Tina but cannot understand why she refuses. Will he manage to convinve her to give them a second chance?

An inhuman creature is coming to the desert with nothing but death and mayhem on its mind. To defeat this evil force and protect all that they love, the pack will have to unite and fight with everything they have.

Desert Heart is a gripping read that takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions. In one moment you will be on the edge of your seat with nailbiting suspence and in the next, you will be crying your eyes out.

Passionate, heartwarming and thrilling!

Highly recommended! This author will not let you down!

I've been excited to read Tina's story for awhile, since little tidbits have been sprinkled throughout the previous books, so I was anticipating her story, and it didn't disappoint! First off, I love a second chance romance, so I loved that Tina and Rick are reconnecting after being separated for years, and oh what a connection! These 2 are so sweet together, and the passion between the two is deep. Tina's werewolf nature plays a part in Tina's decisions a lot, and this affects her life. I love the way Rick feels for Tina! He's protective, and he's just totally adorable! As with the other books in this series, there's action and suspense! Loved the hellhound angle! And of course, I love seeing previous characters! Wonderful series, and I have loved every single Anna Lowe book I've read, so I definitely recommend Desert Heart! Desert Heart is told in dual POV, which I absolutely love in romances, and can be read as a standalone, but as mentioned earlier, it does contain characters from previous books, so if you don't like any spoilers, you should start with book 1. This is a wonderful series!

This book is so heartbreaking but at the same time heartwarming, the struggles poor Tina has to face really tugs at my heart. She has spent most of her life giving up on what she wants, choosing her pack above all else. But honestly how long can someone put the needs of others above their own needs, this book shows how courageous and strong Tina is and how much she sacrificed for her family. I knew this story would be absolutely amazing, and it didn't disappoint. I was always curious about the sister who seemed something of a mystery, in the previous books she appears in I couldn't help wondering what was going on with her. After reading this I have so much love for her, she truly is an interesting woman who deserves a happily ever after. And let's face it dealing with her two brothers, she really does have a difficult time. I can't wait for the next book, hopefully we see some children in Tina's future.

First thoughts: Probably my favorite one in this series. A great story of second chances.

Review: Yay, Tina's story. As the Alpha's daughter, and now Alpha's sister, Tina has always put the pack ahead of her own needs. She is the Twin Moon Ranch manager and has seen her brothers find their mates. She is also still pinning for her youth's love, Rick who happens to be human. Rick left the Arizona desert to play in the major leagues, and accident and a weird plot device, he is now back as manager of the nearest ranch (Seymore? can't remember).

From the moment that Tina and Rick meet, the sparks start flying. It takes no time for these two t reconnect. To make things more exciting, there is a new evil that has risen and the wolves of Twin Moon Ranch will need to call on allegiances and form new allegiances to defeat it.

The author does a great job on the romance side, which makes me happy. We also get to meet a few new characters that will carry the series forward.

Second chances

Tina had a crush and dated a boy named Rick in highschool. He left to play baseball in the majors. She kept track of him and cut out every article she could find. Rick then comes to the ranch next door to work. Tina is afraid of getting hurt so she usually just keeps to herself. But Rick fires her blood.
Odd things happen and they are led back into each other's arms.
I am crazy about these Twin Moon Ranch characters. This is definitely a must read series. You won't be disappointed!

Desert Heart is about Tina Hawthorne, sister of the pack alpha Ty Hawthorne. Tina has been in love with the boy at the ranch next door all of her life, but she knows Rick will never be accepted in her pack as her mate. He is human and human males do not usually survive the bite that changes them to wolf. When he returns after having been away pursuing a career in baseball, a career he had asked her to share with him, she knows she will have to be careful to avoid him at all costs. There is too much between them for her to stay away for long, though.

Finally Her Turn

Tina's a good pack member. She has no life of her own until the Seymour ranch get a a new manager. Only He is not new to her, she's loved him since she was a teenager. He back and trying to figure out how he's going to get Tina. But there are several complications and dangers they will have to get through. Enjoy I did.

It reads like a full length novel but it goes by to fast to really enjoy the emotional experience of reuniting of old childhood loves, and the case pace of the whole bomb of when Rick finds out about Tina being a shifter a She wolf that stood up for him against the evil hellhound and why he always said no in the past...
