This is a very informative guide to Dichterliebe, with some interesting essays on certain aspects of the song cycle. It has the complete score, including the 4 songs that were removed when it was originally published in 1844 which is useful. I would recommend to those interested in art-song and wanting to learn a more in depth understanding of Dichterliebe.

A really great, compact, and comprehensive coverage of Dichterliebe. Although there is a small bit of historical background, the writing mostly addresses the theoretical aspects of the piece. The article of Arthur Komar is a good one, with insight that is more often than not, hits the nail on the head. Allen Forte's article provides a nice introduction to Schenkerian Analysis, and Meno Spann provided enjoyable information on Heine's poetry. Dichterliebe is a true masterpiece, and Komar proved this very convincingly.
