There literally is no feminist cartoonist like Nicole Hollander. She owned the 80s. Buy all her books: now! Cats, aliens, love, politics, food, writing. If you like any of these, you know what to do.

This doesn't come up on a keyword search. I can't say why. I tried removing the word 'bathrobe', and adding the author's name, and that worked.

These early collections are from the Reagan years. Whether the revolution has proceeded much further since is hard to say. I note that Tony Blair, when he was prime minister of the UK, provided paternity leave for others, but didn't take it himself. On the other hand, many men's restrooms do now have baby changing stations, and there are 'family' restrooms in some places. Three steps forward, and two steps back.

Sylvia responds to news stories, studies, etc, and can serve as a source for such information. But I've seen people refuse to use the strips as a source. I once told somebody that I could document the fact that Gabriel Garcia Marquez wrote One Hundred Years of Solitude, because it was stated in a Sylvia book. But the student insisted on another source. So why would you accept a cataloger over Hollander as an expert?

I love this book, and Sylvia, and Nicole Hollander. It comes to mind quite often and brings a smile.

Nicole Hollander is a brilliant author, artist, and psychologist, whose books are endlessly amusing, fascinating, and horrifying, all at once. I can't put it down once I open it.
