AN ABSOLUTE TREASURE!!! 10 STARS! I first read this completely through by December 1982. My parents had given it to me as a Christmas present in 1980. When I first got it, it took me about 2 years to read it straight through. It is over 1,900 pages so it will take awhile. I decided to re-read it in full again a couple of days ago. It's a book you can pick up and start to read at any point. IT IS A MUST! I have read ALL the sections several times, as any lover of St Francis would do but, I usually did it in a much more piece-meal fashion. I decided only a few days ago to again read it straight through. A PERSONAL CHALLENGE. This time I want to do it by Christmas. This text is out of print but has been re-issued in 3 volumes in paperback. The publishers say that they updated a good portion of the footnotes, etc., It includes St Francis's writings as well as the Biographies by Thomas of Celano and St Bonaventure. The Little Flowers are also included.
