The editor has used a series of Medieval writings to present the life and beliefs of St. Francis of Assisi. Excerpts of the rules of the Order are presented as well as several prayers that Francis wrote. The reasons behind his hurried path to sainthood are explored. A good, though at times difficult, read for those searching for a simpler lifestyle.
