Through research has been put forth in a very engaging way. Many times readers will feel that they are witnessing the events.
The references are very well pinned and make it easy to cross verify.

This has been an excellent experience of reading book on Great king, chatrapati Shri Shivaji Maharaj.

Great book

End of the book wrapped up so fast. I was expecting it in detail like rest of the book. After rajyabhishek it wrapped in few pages. This part is also important for maratha empire. Eg. Why sambhaji Maharaj join Mughals?

I am returning here to write this short review after hearing about the demise of Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare.

I grew up reading this book and must have re-read it from cover to cover at least ten times. Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj is undoubtedly the most outstanding Indian hero in the last millennia, and this book is a perfect tribute to the legend.

Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare's unique literary style gives you goosebumps every time you read this book. I hope this book and Babasaheb Purandare's magnum opus - Janta Raja continues to inspire future generations.
