Not a fun read. And to be honest I didn't finish it. But very interesting if you know some of the back story. And the whole Madam Blavatsky screwing with this guys head. Seems that she was mostly a charlatan, this whole thing reeks of B.S. ... except for that little subnote where the Mahatma appears in astral form to A.P. Sinnett in the middle of the night. So in that sense it's one of the great human mystery stories... Just not fun to read.

This is an important book where the reader can get a glimpse of the personality and nature of a Higher being (called Mahatma).
