This is the 2nd book of the Enid Blyton's Naughtiest Girl series.
But picking up a book randomly out of the series like this and reading it still makes me feel like it stands out on its own.
It doesn't leave the reader lost about the characters and the plot.
The book consists of 12 aptly named chapters which gives a hint about what the chapter would be.

Elizabeth as the Naughtiest Girl is a very strong character.
☺️ What made me like this book is the fierce, the never-give-up spirit of the main character.
The book describes the struggles of a school girl which she undergoes through in the midst of gruelling piano practice sessions, sports, academics, friends, competitors, rumours and strict teachers.
So much is expected of her, and with a nickname like that, she needed to prove something to others but most importantly to herself.

Does she succeed in doing that?
Who helps her the most or does anyone help her at all?
Does rumours and gossips make her life miserable or does she go above all that and prove everyone wrong?
Or is she known as the Naughtiest Girl just like that or is she really the one who everyone thinks of her as?
👍This is my most favourite book of the series.
👍The plot is relatable and talks vividly the struggles of being in school, the doubts we all have regarding ourselves from time to time, the feeling of losing something important, the victory of gaining something out of the blue, how never giving up om ourselves no matter what is all it matters in the end.
👍This book made me believe in myself more after reading it. 👍The grit and determination of the main character is contagious.
🎙️I would love to recommend this book to the school going kids and the beginners.

😘 I grew up reading Enid Blyton's books too! 😊

This book is very good! Elizabeth has exams to go to the second form but the school concert is coming up too! Elizabeth wants to play the piano for William and Rita because they are leaving Whytleafe school! Elizabeth knows she is going to be chosen so she studies hard to the exams, but she then finds out that her rival, Arabella is practising hard for the concert to overthrown Elizabeth, so Elizabeth puts her studies aside to practice so that she would be chosen!

There are many interesting characters in this book. Elizabeth, the main character, is a very two sided. One minute she is kind, helpful and caring but she can also be competitive, curious, can make enemies easily and can lose her temper quickly too. Elizabeth is like a mini detective, she always wants to find things out if something goes wrong. But everyone thinks she is a very nice girl inside.

The language in the book is not easy but not hard. It has some challenging words that I have to look up but once i know what it means, everything else is easy.

Another day, another collection of the Naughtiest Girl completed. As always, Elizabeth scrapes in and out of trouble, and eventually comes out on top. There is another nasty incident with Arabella, a girl I would probably slap should I ever meet the like in real life. A good story, continuing on this series. Four stars.

It has the same style as the rest of the series, and I'm a bit disappointed that this is the only book in the bookstore other than volume 7 and 8.

I like the story, though :D

The end of term concert is coming up and Elizabeth wants to play, to give a parting memory to the school heads Rita and William. But there are also exams to study for, a new secret hideaway in an oak tree, and Arabella is turning out to be an unexpectedly talented musical rival. With so much else going on, will Elizabeth’s dream of playing at the concert come true?

This is a lovely summery book although it also deals seriously with the kinds of stresses its young readers might have in their own lives - exams and environment. And it also deals sympathetically with Elizabeth finding that she may have too much on her plate to do well at everything. Arabella finally gets a redemption arc, but Miss Ranger yet again proves herself to be a bit of a rubbish teacher, especially with her habit of treating Elizabeth as though she is unchanged from her very first weeks at the school.

The fourth of Anne Digby's continuation books in the Naughtiest Girl series. The author did fine again in following the style of the originals by Enid Blyton. If read together, it's a bit too much that the same kind of problems and misunderstandings are always happening to Elizabeth, but she shows some character growth here and there are good emotional moments, making this a nice entry in the series. The way the tree subplot was resolved was perhaps too good to be true, but it's a story that's sure to please its target audience.

#2019 #YearInBooks Book 32

I loved this story. A lot. Especially the closing. Friendly rivalry is good, but not at the cost of something else. That's what this book is about. And a bonus lesson about standing up for nature too.

I could connect with the mischief and fun through and through. A must read for every school-girl. After all, only work and no play would make us such prudes!

A story that would resonate with every school girl across ages and generations.

Elizabeth is again trying and failing to keep out of trouble, Elizabeth is moving up to the second form and to be able to move up she has to pass her exams which she is struggling with as she is practicing piano for the end of year school concert as she is desperate to play in the concert as a farewell to William and Rita. The only problem is that only one student from each year can perform so Elizabeth is in a battle with Arabella her enemy. This results in her grades slipping and her not revising as much as she should. Then an exam paper goes missing and Elizabeth is blamed.

I have nearly finished the Naughtiest Girl series which I'm happy about as I have had these books for years. This was a more enjoyable story from the last couple I've read.

Lots of adventures await Elizabeth this term. She makes new friends but also gets into trouble once again, although when she shows her bravery and honesty, everything comes right in the end.
