thank you shukman! i found this to be a lovely summary of what i've learnt so far in a-level history and due to this, i'm so glad i read it! shukman writes in a really easy to read style with hardly any waffle and i really appreciate that :')
would 100% recommend, a fast read that is worth your time <3

Clearly written by someone with a enormous bias. He is adequately describing every thing negative of the USSR. But from the many positives there have been. He mentions zero. It's a ideological motivated book. Not an honest assessment of what transpired.

A short and concise history, but written in a dry and boring style.
