Winterling #3.5

OWL: A Winterling story about Fer and Rook

Rate this book
When readers of the Winterling trilogy emailed to ask me what happens next with Fer and Rook, I wrote this short story. It contains smooching.

This was so so so good! I adored every page in this short story, absolutely adored it. I want more because that smooching was amazing and I need more! If I could have one thing this year it would be a MG or YA continuation of this series. I love Fer, I love Rook and all the other Pucks and I would just love to see more of them!

A short story where so many things happened. It felt a bit all over the place and the choices that were maybe also felt a bit off. We had a few adorable moments, nevertheless it did not add a lot to the development of the main story.

Sweet story about Fer and Rook post-Moonkind. Something about it felt a little choppy to me, but it may just be the fact that it's a short story, which I almost always struggle with. Still, I liked seeing what's become of those two, and getting to spend a little more time with the pucks!

This is the absolutely wonderful to end out the series; beyond coming back to Rook and Fer the story worked so perfectly and is absolutely a must read if you like the "Winterling" series.

All in all I loved every minuet of "Owl"

This was a cute silly canon fanfic. Still some holes in the world building. Imagine a random boy showing up and being like "I need you to give me milk for this baby I picked up from a dumpster" and then this girl shows up and starts arguing with him about putting it back it's so nonsensical fluff fanfic-coded and I can't take it seriously but it also brought me serotonin (this is the longest review I wrote for any books in this series).

Oh my gosh! That was amazing! I was not expecting her to change into an owl. Although to be fair it makes total sense considering the title of the story. I was wondering if there would be another book or something explaining how Fer being a puck would work and there was! I am so glad there was romance too!

A nice way to wrap up.
It did feel a little choppy.

This story can be skipped, but if you get a chance to read it after finishing the series, you should.

This novella is so cute. I love the Winterling series -- it is one of my favorite Middle Grade novels -- and this is kind of like a YA update to the story.
It isn't very big, and you can only get the story as a Kindle edition, and it wasn't exactly "easy" to find on Amazon, but it is SO worth the read. I loved seeing the characters again, especially the pucks in all their snarky glory. You are giddy, excited and just down-right happy while you read it. I basically inhaled it.
I definitely recommend it -- after you read the Winterling series, which is no hardship because it is also amazing. For readers who have already read Winterling, you can't miss this one. Normally I don't read the short stories and novellas that authors write to compliment their stories or series, but with this series and this author, I will read anything I can get my hands on.
Completely and utterly enjoyable and a definite must read. Enjoy.

Really great book

Really ties up loose ends and settles my mind. Love the ending. There wasn't too much kissing
