I enjoyed this book. I like that these books are interactive for kids and help them to solve the mystery on their own. They give them the suspects and the clues in a story form then ask them questions hoping their answers lead them in the right direction, but they don’t lead the reader. You can’t just read the book and not think about it at all and the questions tell you who it is, you actually have to put a little thought into it. It’s great for kids who enjoy mysteries and figuring things out! My only issue with this one is that there was a page where it was missing a chunk of the writing. It just stopped mid sentence and ended the chapter. I could figure out about what I had missed as I continued with the next chapter but kids might have a lot more struggle with that. I was reading a kindle version of the book and even downloaded it to a different device to see if there had been an issue downloading it but it was still missing. I don’t know if this is in all the versions of the book but beware if you read the kindle version because you might be missing a part of it.

i liked that they broke the formula a little bit with this one, but was still a pretty simple formulaic mystery.
