This was a good one!! We do get an amazing short story in the middle of it, there are great twists and it was given a good amount of space to almost everybody.
This is definitely one of the best volumes of the entire series so far, and now I can't wait to go forward!
Okay, this one is actually really good and much better than the previous volumes. From the beginning, I've liked King because he is a well-written character and it was nice to learn more about his past and the whole Fairy King title. The revelation about Helbram was also interesting. The fights are always fun and creative so I have nothing bad to say about them. The ending was also pretty nice regarding Ban and Elaine's future. Overall, it was a really good volume but still nothing extraordinary.
So are we just meant to gloss over how the story portrays King as a groomer at best, if not a pedophile? It's just another example of the very strange ideas this manga purports regarding relationships and women in general.
Aside from that, a bit of a step down from the previous volume as there doesn't feel like there's as much forward thrust as there was. Granted, the previous volume was just faster paced whereas this one focused on telling more about King's story and his sin. Expecting me to believe things like it taking King 500 years to regain his memories is just a bit extreme though. And then what was he doing for the next 200? And how was Diane a child for 500 years? Once again this manga plays very loosely with time. And how did Helbram survive the human attack the first time, or the first time King killed him? And how did a simple sword swipe just wipe King's memories clean? It's a bit immersion breaking when the story cuts corners like this.
One thing that is annoying is Gowther's continual reading of people's minds. It feels like he's trying to serve as exposition for the reader, but he's just telling us things we already know.
I know that's quite negative in general, but overall the art was still great and I'm still enjoying the progression of the plot, particularly Ban's new objective.

The manga that was turned into the anime of the same name, volume 10. This book covers the same material as the end of episode 18 all of episode 19 and parts of episode 20.
This volume focuses on King/Harlequin's back story with Helbram and Diane. It is very touching and also f*ed up when you learn how Helbram has come to still be alive and fighting all these years later.
I'm probably not the only person who finds the idea of all these relationships between different nearly immortal beings who look like children a little on the pedo line, but I try not to think too hard about it.
Extras in the book that didn't make it into the show: A side story of Ban working his way through the city to the castle to "look for Elizabeth". It is otherwise basically what you get in the show.
The suspense at the end which to be hoenst even if I hadn't watched the anime to this point I would have guessed who they would have chosen for Ban, but still a good twist within the current story.
This is the last volume of the main series I currently have so it might be some time before I read anymore of the series.
In this volume, the reader can see more of Arthur and I like his character. This Arthur is way different from the Arthur in Four Knights of the Apocalypse. He is more naive but continues to want what is best for his people. The reader also learns more about King's past and his past with a certain character. He suffered a lot and I felt so bad for him and Helbram.
In this volume we see the final fight between King and Helbram where the latter dies AGAIN. Also, Diane rescue the people of the city which make most of the holy knights realize who the bad people really are.
Fights were good but I just read an awesome volume of another manga and I guess I'm still hyped about it because this one seemed... just okay. I'm excited we are getting closer to the boss fight of this arc.
So many interesting little differences from the manga! I also still am floored by the choice Ban needs to make. Elaine or Meliodas? The only two people he has ever really cared for in his life.
