A Clerical Error

Rate this book
A Clerical Error is a dark comedy about a vicar whose world is brought to its knees by surreal, otherworldly forces.

Martin Taylor is the Vicar of a quiet and uneventful parish – that is until the sudden death of his next door neighbour, David Jenkins, rocks the village. The supposed cause of death is a heart attack, but Martin suspects foul play after spotting two mysterious men at the scene.

However, the local constabulary prove hard to convince, and soon the entire village is questioning the Vicar's sanity. With his reputation dwindling and his wife's patience wearing thin, Martin takes the law into his own hands and goes after David's killers, only to discover that the men he's chasing are part of something far bigger than he could ever have imagined.

What starts out as a murder mystery quickly turns into a supernatural tale of friendship, betrayal and village fêtes, with Martin coming face to face with death in a way he never expected. As the stakes rise and events spiral out of control, the future of the universe itself will be called into question.
