The Billionaire Wives Club #1

The Billionaire Wives Club

Rate this book
Ronan Michaels is fine as aged red wine. I’m talking wavy, chestnut brown hair, strong chiseled jawline, prominent shoulders and rugged ivory skin that’s been kissed by the sun. And those silver eyes were enough to make any woman swoon. All the women wanted him, but he chose me… his rarest, precious Ruby of them all, I was his African Queen.

Our wedding day was like a classic fairytale. I felt like a true princess. Ronan, my gallant white knight, made me feel that way. He made me feel beautiful, sexy and oh so desirable. His silver gaze held me captive from the beginning…even now, when it feels like the end… I remember looking into his eyes filled with promise as he vowed his love and devotion to me for a lifetime… I believed him.

Secrets and lies have a way of destroying lives and marriages and making what was once a happy home miserable and unbearable. My secrets…my lies cost me a price I wasn’t willing to pay. Who would’ve ever thought our happiness and love for each other would end up at this point? Not me, Ronan’s sweet Ruby…I never would’ve guessed my best days were behind me and I have no one but myself to blame.

I’m in for the fight of my life… win, lose or draw.

"The Billionaire Wives Club: BWWM" by Shani Greene-Dowdell & Theresa Hodge

My Thoughts....

These two authors...Ms..Shani Greene-Dowdell and Ms.Theresa Hodge gives the readers a excellent well written read that I couldn't put down only being left wanting more. The two main characters were so well defined, well portrayed and believable plus many others really gives the reader a intriguing read. There were a lots of what ifs in this novel but I guess it wasn't to be. I felt so sorry for the heroine after finishing up the read and I could understand why she did what she did but for that husband of hers I could not feel anything for him but disgust in how he handled the situation just to get.... Will there be any coming back for him? Will Ruby even want him back in her life? Well, I guess we will have to wait and see what these authors will bring us in the next installment of 'The Billionaire Wives Club.' I will be certainly waiting!

The prologue to this one sets the tone. I t gets you ready for a ride inside Ruby's world. As I was reading the letter, I couldn't help but to wonder why her husband had stepped out or started a relationship with this other woman. That's what drew my curiosity to find out. Eliza sounds like someone in real life lol. She really has that outspoken persona. The chapters flowed for me with this one. I could see it all happening, Ruby getting the job and falling for Ronan Michaels. In the beginning of chapter three, we get to see Ronan's side of attraction. I think the writers did an awesome job in including it. These characters are so likable and authentic. Ruby reminds me of that kind of woman you'd take home to momma. I think this book covers a lot of real issues. These two, had to hide their feelings at work and that really pushes the romance buttons for a good read. When Rudy said she was a...(Well I won't spoil it for you new readers) that blew my mind. I didn't expect that. That was a good twist to the story in my opinion. All I can say is get the book. It's a great page turner......Jroc

Yes, there is a cliffhanger

I hate cliffhangers. what's the point? You pull your readers in only to drop them on their faces. Especially when the book is only 100+pages long.

From the moment ruby kept such a big secret I wanted to dnf. You've been married to this man for 10 years, had two kids by him and you cannot trust him enough to tell him you're scared?! I believe the vows are "in sickness and in health" ... he is not your daddy. He is your husband.

I wanted to dnf again when the cheating started. I cannot stand it, I wanted to throw my kindle. Still I pushed forward because I wanted them to prevail; then I got slapped with a cliffhanger...

The business part of me gets it, cliffhangers keep your readers coming back. You make money. You're happy, the publisher is happy. Everyone but the CUSTOMER is happy. As a reader I say, have the common courtesy to drop the 2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th... however many installments you plan to have CLOSE TOGETHER. Just my humble opinion.

I give this book 2.5 stars.. at the beginning I was all in and then storyline got major crazy to me... How in the hell are you a billionaire married for 10 years and don't recognize that something is wrong with your spouse and don't even attempt to investigate the situation. You just assume crazy stuff and then put yourself out there to make matters worse & when the truth comes out it's all her fault. Selfish BASTARD!!!!!!! I couldn't grasp that concept, so over all I hate the main character Ronan for being so dump, which makes me hate the overall storyline of this book. I will admit I quit, but I couldn't sleep until I knew the ending... rolling my eyes and there is a book 2 & 3; I DON'T THINK I CAN TAKE ANY MORE!!!!

As much as I hate cliffhangers, I can't be mad this time. Theresa Hodge and Shani Greene-Dowdell, wrote an incredible first part to The Billionaire Wives Club. Ruby Michaels is keeping a secret from her husband, Ronan. It's a secret that is going to destroy her world. While a part of me understands why Ruby made the decision she made, I don't agree with it. It was obvious that she loved Ronan but she should have had more faith in him. Ruby's distance and secretiveness pushed Ronan away and led him to make choices that eventually put the last nail in the coffin of their relationship. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment of this story. I'm hoping that Ronan and Ruby find their way back to one another. That journey is going to be an adventure that I can't wait to discover.

This story touched on my own personal struggle

Beautiful job, Theresa and Shani, touching on my own personal struggle with a health scare mirrored in this book, and nearly bringing me to my knees. It is absolutely hard to explain to someone why your health is deteriorating, so I can't blame Ruby for the decision she made. I have to understand Ronan's decision as well, when his home became just a house. Part two cannot come fast enough next month. Muah to the authors for reminding me why I was a reader first. The stories that touch your soul are still being written, and this is one of them.

Wow! Great read....

You know, at one point I was so upset with Ruby reasoning and I was so frustrated... But, my word Ronan took the cake!! Oh, wait he did have his cake and wants his ice cream too.. He made me sick, for someone who supposedly love his wife and his children so very much, sure as hell didn't take him long to look for fresh meat.. If he truly love his wife, he should be able to see the physical change's and with all his money why not hire a PI or a security detail... Right now I truly despise the cheating asshole, and all his self righteous excuses. . Really great read!!

Why

If only Ruby trusted her husband's judgment...if only Ronan could keep it in his pants...with all the praying and faith they have in the Lord...why couldn't that same faith and trust be put in their marriage...I mean Ruby confided in her best friend and not her husband...he in turn starts sleeping with the first THOT and then hire her...seems to me all that glitters is sometimes a mirage...hopefully they next one will bring Ruby true happiness.

Amazing!!!

I can't believe that this woman hid her secret from a loving caring husband . I love Ronan and Ruby but she was so wrong not to have faith and trust in her husband. This book was so poignant and caring that you could feel the emotions rolling off the pages. This is a book that everyone need to have in their possession. I can't wait till part two. This book is a two thumbs up with a snap and twist.

Why?

Why would you not tell your husband that you have cancer ? Why would you start an affair as soon as you have your first hurtle to get over in your marriage? I hope they can overcome all that is going on!!! Ruby & Ronan belong together. This book was wonderful...I truly enjoyed it!! I will say I hate getting into a book & then having to wait for the next book to find what happens next. A very real life story, yes 5 stars it is!!!!

Wow

Talk about a good read, I really enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait for the next book to come out. What a gripping read I wish I could read the next story now. I was heart broken when he cheated on her, but I understand how the misunderstanding happened but that was no excuse. He should have fought harder to figure out what was wrong with his wife, and she should have just told her husband she was sick.

I really enjoyed this story. I really like this author as I have read other titles penned by her. However, I wish I would have known that this was going to be a series and end in cliffhanger before I became invested in how things will be resolved between Ruby and Ronan. I would have given 5 stars, but readers should have been warned about this being a series.

Cliffhanger

I chose this book because of Shani Greene-Dowdell. I've read many of her books before and enjoy them but I'm so upset that this is a cliffhanger. Well I'll just wait to the next one.

Two wrongs

If the purpose of this book was to have you angry at The husband and the wife, it worked. Keeping a secret like that from your husband was a bad idea that pushed him into the arms of another woman. Husband didn't even try to figure anything out

Great Read

I'm not sure that I agree that Ruby should have kept her illness from her husband, because lies and deceit can destroy. This is an interesting book. I recommend it.
