For almost 30 years, this book has been a classic text for electronics enthusiasts. Now completely updated for today's technology with easy explanations and presented in a more user-friendly format, this third edition helps you learn the essentials you need to work with electronic circuits. All you need is a general understanding of electronics concepts such as Ohm's law and current flow, and an acquaintance with first-year algebra. The question-and-answer format, illustrative experiments, and self-tests at the end of each chapter make it easy for you to learn at your own speed.
the DC review, transformers, and power systems sections are very good. However there isn't enough detail in most of the AC sections to really help understand the concepts. This is a good review book for people who have already been exposed to electronics, but not good for a beginner. I liked all of the practice questions throughout all of the sections, but the answers could have had more explanation.
What a great little book. If you need a refresher or want to be led into a better understanding of basic to intermediate electronics theory this is your guide. A progressive teaching approach, that makes sense.
Great book that simply and effectively teaches circuitry principles. This book really gets down to the nitty-gritty and contains copious diagrams and voltage graphs. It is not quite a textbook, but is still pretty substantial.
